This is the first time this has EVER happened. Teams playing without living screaming fans watching.

Do you worry that players won't put forth quite as much "effort" because it'll seem like a fast moving scrimmage to them, with no "reward" or adulation from their fans?

It's gonna be weird.

Do they have plans to pump in increased cheers when a big play or Touchdown happens?
Imagine how weird silence would be to the player running free towards a touchdown, at his home field, and hearing pretty much crickets.

It's all something to think about.

It’s not Hockey or Basketball. Definitely think it doesn’t help the home teams.

It’s going to strange for sure. The home team feeds off the crowd and I really hope the NFL does a good job incorporating the correct noise for each situation. I don’t want to hear white noise the whole time.

The game, players, and fans is an emotional connection... it’s about talent sure... but in football you CAN out-will your man... beat him emotionally. The fans... the players... all feeding off that.

It’s going to be interesting. The players will need to fire themselves up... create that extra gear themselves. We might see some teams better at that.

You can draw contrast to MLB. Where, for the most part... players try to focus and concentrate... almost tune that out.

On one hand I say they are all professionals and tune out all the distractions, on the other when the QB cant communicate because the crowd is cheering so loud I say the game can be affected

The NFL should copy the premier league.
Premier League stadiums are due to reopen for supporters from October 3. The reopening will see a one-meter social distancing rule in place that will mean just 20,590 people will be allowed inside Manchester United’s Old Trafford, the largest stadium in the Premier League.

It's going to be really strange and I think will for sure have an effect, how big that effect will be, not sure. I think McVay is good about preparing our team for that though, I see our guys giving it their all regardless but we'll see

Well the Cowbells have a bigger fan base than the Rams. The fans would of packed that stadium come game day. But luckily for us our Rams won’t have to deal with that. Ha

Yah, I could see plenty of well healed Cowboy fans overpaying like mad to watch the Cowboys on opening day in the best stadium in the world.

The winner in all of this is the Chargers. They'll actually get to play home games...

McCarthy also has a SB ring. So there's that.

Huh??? Not sure what you mean. Yeah... there are a lot of Cowgirl fans in SoCal...but "Bigger" than our base here? No... I was at the '18 playoff game and we had more fans.

Yeah it's going to be super interesting. The only real life cheering will come from a player's own teammates and coaches.
Has anyone heard for SURE if something like "pretend cheers" or "crowd noise" will be played on the loud speakers?

The NFL should have Zoom, or some other way of piping in real fan noise.

Allow fans to log in and pipe in real sound from real fans cheering from home!

Thank you very much!!!

Arrowhead Stadium will be filled at 22% capacity with 16,000 fans at the maximum being allowed into the building.

That's one of those ideas that sounds great until it's actually implemented and we end up hearing all kinds of BS because the sound isn't blended right or whatever.

It would be so much easier to just pipe in crowd noise when good plays happen for the home team. And boos of course when the visitor does something right. Long as the volume isn't insane and stand in the way of the game I would think all the teams would be fine with that and even support it.

Am I the only one surprised/disappointed that the league is going to allow fans in some stadiums when they cannot be in others. I know they have lost millions but the competitive advantage just doesn't sit right, with me at least.

It's total B.S. that no fans are allowed, and even more so with some allowing fans.

The NFL is run by the most overpaid idiots. If one stadium can do partial fan seating, why not all of them?

Nascar has a bunch of fans allowed now, btw.
