The battle of LA between the LA Chargers and LA Rams has already been decided.

The two teams set to move into SoFi Stadium this upcoming season have had polar opposite off-seasons. One is primed for an exciting future, while the other seems to have what could be a nightmare on their hands.


The LA Chargers and Rams should have both been going into the 2020 NFL season with incredibly high hopes and an absolutely beautiful stadium awaiting their arrival. However, while they will still be going into SoFi Stadium, it seems as though only one team will be going in with the high hopes that they should.

The Chargers have had what could be seen by many as an almost perfect offseason so far, and it is surely going to get better with the much-anticipated new uniforms coming in just six days and holding the sixth pick in what is a loaded 2020 draft class.


Tom Telesco has always been known for his draft prowess, while Rams general manager Les Snead has done the team no favors in the long-term. Snead has gone out and acquired “premier” talent at the expense of his team’s future, and the team will be going into their fourth of five years without having a first-round pick.

The Chargers and Rams are both looking to go into Inglewood as the talk of the town. While it may take some time to truly build up a strong fan base in the Los Angeles area, the Chargers have shown they have many things going in the right direction while the Rams could be looking at multiple rough seasons on the horizon. Let’s look at why the “Battle for LA” has already been won.

There’s more slides to look through. But I’m not putting the effort in to do it. Basically our logo sucks, our roster sucks and we have no cap space. So be prepared to see a plethora of Chargers jerseys just taking over SoFi.

Just a stupid, clickbait hot take and nothing more. The Chargers couldn't even sell out a crappy little stadium of about 30k and don't have anything close to the LA history that the Rams have. And they are going to be renting the RAMs stadium now. They will always be to the Rams what the Jets are to the Giants - second fiddle in their city.

Idiots. Evaluation of a team's expectations always begins with coaching. McVay is worth about 3 wins. Lynn is 0 or maybe -1.

Talk to me about the Chargers when they have drafted a QB and he's got a year under his belt plus a new coach.

The Chargers don't have the history and tradition in L.A. And Chargers will never have the market coverage from Tijuana to Santa Barbara. Eventually, Sofi stadium roof will have the Rams logo on it. Just like this sample.

What's he going to write when Tyrod goes down mid season and the Chargers claw their way to a 4-12 record all while the Rams are in the playoffs? Because thats the more likely scenario.

TT's draft prowess? He's got Tyrod Taylor at QB and a collection along the OLine who can't stay healthy. He's got a good WR a good a good TE who can't stay healthy, they signed to the franchise tender and he's played 35 of 64 possible regular season games. Yes he's drafted a couple good pass rushers. He's the GM of a team that has made the playoffs twice in his tenure which is just as long as Sneads and he's the superior GM? Only a Chargers fan can write such drivel. Get some fans before you claim yourselves the NFL kings of LA damned clowns your own stadium would help too.

I've followed the Chargers for 20 years and let me tell you they are a pathetic organization that continually underachieves. Tom Telesco is a micro-manager who can't draft. His last couple of drafts were slightly better because he began to follow the lead of outside paid scouting services. His own ability to evaluate talent is exceedingly poor. He's been "trying" for years to upgrade the o-line and has failed. People here who think the Ram's o-line isn't good should look long and hard at the Chargers' line. They have some of the worst linemen as starters you will find at this level. That's why I've been saying to shop Havenstein to them because even as bad as he played last year he's still better than Sam Tevi who graded out as undraftable as a rookie yet guess who drafted him. They also need DB's who can play their zone scheme so Hill again is a perfect fit for them. Two players with manageable contracts for a 2nd round pick? Hell yeah considering the Chargers pick near the top of the round. It would also immediately clear the Ram's cap deficit.

Every year the pundits overrate the Chargers and every year they disappoint. This is the organization that squandered River's prime years and fired a HC who went 14-2. This is the organization that simply cut Jr Seau and Rodney Harrison without so much as a thank you. Both had to hear it on the news. This is an organization that routinely lies to it's own players and the public. Dean Spanos is a joke and has his own franchise on the brink of bankruptcy. The team that couldn't fill a 27K seat soccer stadium with it's own fans, instead forcing their team to play every game as a road team has won the battle of LA? They averaged about 12K Charger fans per game and that's being generous. It's going to be really ugly when a 70K seat stadium is filled with only 10K Charger fans and the rest with opposition fans.

Sure is a lot of charger bashing. However, sadly, the guy who wrote the article did use actual "facts". Those facts are cringe worthy. Logo - Sucks (actually, super sucks!); Tons of players gone; Over the Cap Space; And god only knows what the new uniforms will look like. If I was a Charger fan, I would be touting the Chargers rule too!
