The Rams started out slowly. The O-line was a mess, and the young defense hadn't gotten their "sea legs" yet. But when it was all said and done, the Rams won the NFC West, able to rest starters on the last week, and won a playoff game, and was a single play away from advancing to the NFCCG. Not bad considering AD retired, the rash of injuries to the O-line and receiving corps.

I believe our defense it championship caliber now. With another year of experience and maybe some upgrades, this defense can be rock solid for cheap at least two more seasons.

Our offense is still solid.

Where would we upgrade in the draft? I keep seeing TE as the spot, but Higbeast is still effective.

Do we find a stud LB? Solid CB? RB?

IMHO, we need to upgrade some spots on the O-line, run stopping LB, CB and eventually, we need someone in the wings to replace Stafford. I would be okay with Jimmy G for another season, but there needs to be some youth in the backup QB position.

I’m in the camp for an ILB. Or a possible trade back into the 2nd for a few more picks.

You be never know with McSnead.

They might be aggressive and try to trade up, but we only have a total of seven picks this year, so we have limited trade capital.

It’s more likely that we trade down and acquire more selections, unless someone they really like is still on the board at 26. That’s what I would do, anyway.

I'd be keen for a trade down. The Fiske trade was a slam dunk but it still stings not having a 2nd rounder this year.

Only thing that would change my mind would be if there was a stud LT somehow dropping to #26, I think you'd have to strike in that scenario.

There are some great TE prospects and we know McVay wants one. Perhaps whether one is there or not will decide their strategy

Getting back into the 2nd round WITHOUT losing the 1rst rounder would be ideal. I believe the Rams will have two 3rd rounders again, right? So there’s something to work with there.

As for which position to attack, I would look at CB or WR early. The Rams can find a Tackle in the 3rd or later to develop. That, of course, is based on retaining both AJ and Havenstein.

CB or WR. I'm leaning towards CB, as there are some WR1 options floating around out there in F/A that we could land.
ILB also has some good F/A options. But, very little in the way of CB so I'm thinking that's how we go.

Depends on how the board falls and if we stay put or trade up/down.

Too early to tell just yet. This time last year Malik naybors was considered early second/first round talent and he ended up going top 10.

For big FA moves:
1) sign AJax,
2) either go for Higgins or a CB1.

For Draft trade down R1 pick to get 2 picks. With those 2 picks:
1) WR/TE (if you didn’t get Higgins) or CB1 (if you did get Higgins).
2) Add a swing OT (that can take over for Hav when he retires).
R3: add an ILB.

The more I think about it the more I am leaning toward the Rams drafting a big-time play making WR in the first round, especially if they resign AJ and lose Kupp.
