So I was wondering since I have had the chance to travel some in my years I was wondering where others have been and what they have seen. So here's a shortlist for me.

Russia- Finland- Estonia- 1980
Eygpt- 1987 Pyramids
Turkey- 1984
Las Vegas- Numerous times
Alaska- Numerous times
Curacao- Twice
Bahama's- Numerous times
Southern France for 6 months- 2003
Paris-Amsterdam-Rome-Venice and more of Italy 2018
Prague, Greece, Athens Acropolis and the Beach 2019
And about 38 of the 50 states.

Of course, if anyone has questions, I'd love to answer them. Sharing of knowledge.

I've mostly visited Pennsylvania. That's where one of my best friends since preschool lives. Illinois, obviously. Been to Destin, Florida, Ixtapa in Mexico, Utah, Colorado (by far my favorite place), Arkansas...and that's pretty much it.

Not counting trips that I was too young to remember, or when I was either sitting in the back of the car or driving straight through (or riding - my time in Switzerland was on a train in the middle of the night going from Austria to France for instance) I've been in 15 states plus
Mexico,
Costa Rica (company trip, where I threw a great party in my hotel room that nearly got me fired, but had the side effect of a friend promising me if I ever needed a favor to ask - 14 years later when I moved back to Arizona and desperately needed a job, it turned out he was a VP at a place I applied to and son of a gun he repaid the favor)
Morocco (very interesting. I will never voluntarily go back there)
Spain
France
Austria (studied there for a semester. Sadly my German skills are basically gone)
East Germany (where border guards nearly arrested me for straying into a forbidden area near the wall)
West Germany (where after being let go by the East German border guards I was detained for running across the street after making it to the West side)
Czechoslovakia (where the border guard made me dry shave since my beard was not on my passport)
Hungary
Yugoslavia

Russia in 1980.....prime Cold War time.....do tell.....
College course. Called Soviet seminar. 6 credits. Spent each Saturday, 9-12 from the second week of October till March in class. 2 weeks. Moscow, Leningrad(St. Petersburg), and Tallinn, Estonia. Very interesting trip. My first time out of the country. It is where I learned that most people throughout the world want the same things. A good job, freedom to travel and security in their possessions. Talked with some 9 graders, they had an English teacher from England in the first 4 years and the 2 before we got there one from TX. England verbiage with a TX twang.

We had to learn Russian, the alphabet and number system, as well as Russian history. I remember in my term paper making a statement that I thought once the younger generation took over politics and the old guard (From Lenins time) were dead the Soviet Union would fall apart. I predicted it would happen within 50 years. It really happened in less than 8.

As far as cities go, St. Petersburg is gorgeous. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Probably the neatest place I’ve been outside North America is Tokyo and Hiroshima.

My work took me there 6yrs ago... during the cherry blossom season... amazing.

Hiroshima was pretty neat... standing at ground zero. Beautiful city today.

Tokyo was just the experience. We ate along the side streets, local food, etc.

Wow.
Very cool. What a great course.
English verbiage with a Texas twang sounds hilarious.
