I hope we win 6 straight starting this Sunday but ... I'm asking your honest opinion.
If we start off 0-4 do you think Kroenke pulls the plug on Fisher and fires him instantly?
I don't see how he could keep his job at 0-4 in year five.

Or what about the bye week? We will have played 7 games.
What Win-Loss record do you feel it would take to fire Fisher at the bye week?

I'm thinking 2-5 would make it happen.

IMO Fisher finishes the season.

If Fisher can't get to 8 wins. Theirs a good chance he might not be retained. I don't see a extension happening during the season..

I don't think he pulls the plug during the season, even if we are horrible. He didn't pull the plug on Spags in 2011, even though it was abundantly clear early on that the season was going to be a disaster, and became more clearer each passing week.

He won't be fired mid-season, no matter how bad they look.
At worst, Kroenke will tell Demoff to tell his Dad to tell Fisher that he isn't going to be extended.

First, I don't see how he has keep the job this long.
He is 9 loses away from having the most lose of any coach. I predict if he gets within one of tieing the record or breaking the record Kronke will can him. Otherwise he probably gets a contract extension.

I don't look at it as a record, but IMO, if we don't make the playoffs, it will be a major fail. We have the talent to do that, so now it is on the staff.

The only thing that may save his bacon, is playing Goff before he's ready, and that is why i like Fisher. Goff is not ready, and he's not playing him, even though it could save his job.

I don't see Jeff as this dictator either, as we saw in Hard Knocks, he listens to his coaches, until his coaches fail, or he see's a bigger issue.

Maybe, someone should hire his other coaches. I don't know, just spit-ballin.

I don't think we are making the playoffs so I think Fish is a goner. LA media is already being brutal after 1 week. Not in St Louis anymore. If this team continues to play like they have in years past when the new stadium opens it'll be a ghost town. If your not winning in LA you will have no support. Stan is a POS but he isn't stupid, he knows the market there.

I was always a Fisher fan but if we don't go 9-7 (which we won't unless something drasticly changes), it's time to move on. Give me an offensive minded coach. At least the games would be fun to watch instead of a display of punting.

Well, he pulled the plug on Martz and Linehan so that's not a valid point. However, at this point I don't know what to think. Fisher should have been gone after another dismal season last year and now a discussion of extension (WTF????). So I don't know what to think.

Has a coach ever been fired after 1 game? That would be fun to see in this case. Fisher is a horrible coach who surrounds himself with yes men and other horrible coaches. (Except Singletary, not sure how that happened)

He was minority owner when both those coaches were let go, and by all reports had limited input/say in matters. Those firings really can't be attributed to him or considered a track record for Kroenke.

Stan didn't pull the plug on those guys. Zygmunt fired Martz at the end of the 2005 season. Chip Rosenbloom fired Linehan 4 games into 2008. Stan was a minority owner at the time of both of those dismissals, final say belonged to others.

I'm unhappy with Fisher too. But Stan's MO typically has been to wait until the end of the season.

I think if the Rams don't go to the playoffs, then Fisher is gone at the end of the season.

Hopefully Snead is retained and makes all the scouting and drafting decisions.

The Rams have added some talent compare to the days of Linehan and Spags. But their depth with comparable backups are non-existent. Rams have a long way to go talent wise before they can duke it out with the superior teams like Seahawks, Cardinals, Patriots, Packers, Steelers, Panthers, Raiders, Bucs, Vikings, Falcons, Broncos, Colts and Giants.

It would not surprise me if the Niners sneak up on other teams as well because the media pundits are overlooking them and under-estimating Chip Kelly's team.

It's too early in the season. But if the Rams start out slow again, they may be fourth in the NFC West and Fisher is gone by season's end.

No...he will be allowed to coach out the season...

But a couple more bad losses....on national tv will definitely seal his fate....I expect this team to struggle until the QB change is made...

2-6 at the bye week, gets him fired. They will name Williams as Interim Head Coach, who will then try to bring in somebody higher profile as an offensive consultant like Mike Shanahan for example and if Williams is successful, he will get the full time gig and make the offensive consultant the OC/Assistant Head Coach and he will make Singletary DC, however, still call the defense.

How's that for play?

I hope we go 15-1, win the Superbowl, AND let Fisher walk. Best case scenario.

But I don't see it happening before the end of the season. Since this is the final year of his contract, it won't exactly be firing him, either..

If we do let him go around the bye week, I'd like to see Williams get a shot.

There's no benefit to giving him the boot in season. Do you really think a change to Williams, Boras or McGinnis changes the mentality of this team? At that point it's just a lame duck holding the spot.
