We have witnessed our rather slow 3-2 start to the season. What record do you think we will finish with in the regular season?

10-6. Hey the way the North Div is playing "early" hell we might have 3 teams from the West Div get into the dance. I'm praying DT Gaines finds his way into the line up and plugs the freeway in the middle of our D. This HOV lane service isn't what I envisioned this season!

11-5

Need to beat Niners, then 7-2 is a good shot. Should get at least 11 wins if that happens.

There are no easy games when you're the defending NFC Champ. 11-5 or 10-6. A lot depends on the rate of progress of our young players.

12-4 is still very likely barring no major injuries. This is assuming they get their crap together and beat the Niners.

After next week their schedule softens with losing teams like the Bengals, Falcons, Steelers, and Cards up next.. Then the next two tough games they have are home against the Ravens and Bears... Two teams that don't pass it well.

Then you finish up with Dallas away Seattle Home, Niners away and Cards Home.

I see maybe two more losses max, out of the remaining 5 quality opponents. (Dallas, Seattle, Bears, Ravens, Niners away)

Key will be to not cough up a game that you are heavy favorites in against the Steelers or Falcons away.

I like to look at the season in quarters. So...

Q1 (3-1)
Q2 (3-1)
- SEA (L) - tough but encouraging loss
- SF (W) - Rams have to beat SF at home
- ATL (W) - not sure how they beat PHI but I don't think their OFF can keep up
- CIN (W) - If Rams lose this one we have more problems than we knew
Q3/Q4 - lets get thru Q2 first

Why worry about the future? Our next opponent in the Whiners. We need to assert our dominance vs them. It is so freaking early in the season still. How many times do we see the Patriots starting 2-2 and finishing 13-3? In 2012 the Broncos started 2-3 and went 13-3. Let’s chill out a bit. We’re still the best team in the NFC.
