The comment that stuck from the AZ thread
0 passes over 30 & 0 runs over 15 for us so far yikes, although I think Hebdo has 1 rush over 15. O passes over 30 needs to change sooner than later

Haha those poor tortured assholes. Almost feel sorry for them, then I remember how fucking arrogant they were after they beat us in game one last season.

I'm going to enjoy watching us roast that sorry fucking defense of theirs. That said our defense has not been great either vs the pass so we're gonna be sweating this one down to the wire I'm sure.

Murray will fold if he's intimidated by the Rams pass rush. That's kind of the thing in this game. If the Rams rush isn't there this year it will show in this game.

Whole market here is holding it's collective breath hoping that last week somehow woke them up and at the same thinking that somehow last week is sustainable.

The Rams know how to play Murray. Contain him and not let him get into his school yard antics. Force him to play like a big boy NFL QB and he folds every time. You know he doesn't study film. Morris simply has to show him different initial looks then simply take away his first two reads under 10 yds and the rush will get to him. I think McKinley shows up in this game. They simply need to turn him loose as a situational pass rusher until he learns the defense (which he already knows most of it). McKinley has the speed (like Hollins) off the edge that they need. IMO as much as I like Hollins, I think McKinley is a better pass rusher.

With McKinley and later when Hardy returns, the Rams should be set at that edge opposite Floyd and his rotational backup. Mentally Mckinley is a different player than he was in Atlanta. There were good reasons he was a first round pick. His flaws were technique related, i.e. things that good coaching could correct. IMO Takkarist has the talent to be a starter at that position. I'm not sure Lewis is ever going to be more than he right now. I would hope I'm wrong but how much longer do the Rams wait on him? IMO they aren't going to wait anymore, the clock is ticking for Terrell.

Containing Murray is going to be a problem. It's not as simple as just drawing it up. Floyd is hampered and any new rusher the Rams have like McKinley will be vulnerable to the screens the Cards like to run. This is going to be a tough game and I think we have to put up some big numbers on Offense to win.

The way to defend Murray IMO is to create a pocket around the OL pocket and funnel him backwards with AD and company using a strong rush up the middle.

I always thought you should use a 5 man "contain" rush to contain Wilson and the same for Murray.
Just don't let him run around.

Its early. Both teams have had their struggles. And their moments. Rams came close to blowing a lead. Cardinals came back to win. But none of that matters today. Rams got complacent and a special teams brain fart almost did them in. Cardinals were facing a loss with the Raiders driving for a possible game winning field goal. Then a fumble return TD wins it for them. You can't expect those things to keep happening.
