I'm going to say this right now. When the Rams beat the Saints again this time in week 2, it will really affect the Saints season. It wouldn't surprise me if they tanked a few games at least.

McVay owned the SB loss so that his team wouldn't. You see that's the problem with the Saints. The Saint's clearly loss that game but their HC simply refuses to accept that and therefore the team can't. That's the difference between the men. The Rams are energized and ready to go again. The Saints have an air of desperation. More than one player has said publicly that the loss still haunts them and affects them with one saying ( I believe it was Okafor) they may never get over it.

That is a huge burden to place on your team on a single game. So a loss to the Rams in week 2 would be a devastating blow and who knows how the team will react. I've never liked Asshole Face so if the Aints tank after they get beaten by the Rams it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

They will be facing an improved team over last year and one that is energized and focused.

Just curious! How many Law Suits by the Saints can we expect after they lose this game to the Rams? And, Can we expect the Judge in the current Law Suit to spot the Saints some points before this game as part of the settlement in this RIDICULOUS LAW SUIT???

If I remember correctly they will also be coming into L.A. on a short week and withoit rankins and a starting guard. The rams will punish them this time and I wont be merciful to my 2 saints fans who are still whining about it.

It's going to be a hyped up and emotional game for both sides. As a homer, I more faith in McVay to keep our guys focused over Payton who himself gets to caught up in the heat of the moment.

If the Rams crush them Saints in Week #2, the judge should dismiss the case, with no prejudice!

Like I have stated in another post. Super fans aside... The minute someone from the Saints organization brings up the injustice of THE INCOMPLETION is the minute the Aints season starts to fall apart.

I don't think they've ever stopped talking about it, since the play itself occurred. They're obsessed with it!

Sorry I failed to be specific. The players are naturally going to be butt hurt. They have 2 years of dramatic playoff losses burdening them. I was specifically referring to coaches, organization management and ownership. For the good of their organization they need to focus the team on the future not the past. Personally I am waiting for Payton to fall prey to this trap because while he is a successful coach he is a weak a$$ leader.

I was so glad that my son and i chose the Saints game to attend for our first game back in L.A. in 2017. that was one hell of a game. I think we are going to see a new "non Div." rivalry for awhile here. At least for the near future. I love to hate Asshole Face

Saints fans and their state in general disgust me. No way I'd sign off on an effin lawsuit for a football game. It's idiocy and where does it end?

Can't wait to pound those fukkin idjits and their rubber band armed QB into obscurity. Bring it MFers.

I mentioned I work with a bunch of aints fans. I can't wait come that September Monday morning. I'm also actively rooting for the Falcons this year because of this. I'm saying Atlanta wins that division.

I think the Saints get their asses handed to them by the Rams. The Saints are tough at home with maybe the loudest stadium and craziest fans with noisemakers behind them. On the road, against a really good Rams team? I don't think so. Not this time.

With any luck, it will put a big dent in the Saints playoff standing. But I predict we will still have to endure yet more whining from Whiner-in-Chief Asshole Face.

After we kick their ass, I'd like to see Rams fans holding a banner stating ; 'we'll see you in court'.

And after we beat them, we chase them right out of the state :

What I really want is for McVay to challenge a PI call against the Saints in week 2 and that ends up being the difference in the outcome of the game in favor of the Rams. Wouldn't that be the ultimate burn for the crybaby Aints?

I think anytime a Rams DB is within 5 yards a receiver when the ball arrives a flag will fly.
But, the Saints dwarf QB generally is not great on the road.
That’s a win.

I seriously cannot comprehend it on a human level.

If the situation were reversed, I'd put the blame like this:

1. Defense for giving up a 3 point lead with 1:30 left
2. Offense for turning the ball over in OT
3. Refs

I would definitely have been salty about the no call - but at the end of the day, they had a chance to win the game - with their defense and offense.

What really gets me is the media - every fanbase has idiots - I think that the media reaction fueled the fan reaction even further and led to these lawsuits. I took the Monday after the game off work and watched all the sports shows - every single one of them were talking about the Saints got screwed.

In 2009 the NFL had to apologize to the Vikings for not flagging the Saints for roughing the passer, and it almost certainly would have allowed the Vikings to win. Saints never would have won a Super Bowl - somehow nobody talks about this. The ONLY thing that makes sense is that Drew Brees is such a likable guy and the Rams don't have a ton of notariety yet. Had we been the Patriots and the same thing happened, I GUARANTEE people would have been talking about "well, yes, the call was bad - but the Saints still had chances".

I think all of the above is why we will absolutely destroy them in week 2.
