Who the heck is Daniel Jeremiah (an analyst for NFLN)?

Anyway, in his latest mock, he's got Snead picking Warmack at 16 and Austin at 22. Sounds awesome to me.

That would sort of be one of those best case scenarios. This draft is interesting with the lack of consistant top rated players. I dont think Warmack falls that far and I have some doubts about Austin also, but, who knows? Those two could certainly help with making some strides on O.

The NFL network must have lowered their dress code. Jeans on the set?

This dude is a scout for a few NFL teams of about 8 years...memory serves, or deceives...NFL Networks new golden-boy. Recently been in the trenches.... Seems OK to me. Scouted for Ravens, Browns, and most recently for Eagles if memory serves.

Ya never know: teams may go on runs for QB's, WR's, safeties, DE's, DT's, etc.; and blue chippers at non-glamorous positions may find themselves being ignored early. It's happened many times before.

Whatever happens, if we wanna make a serious playoff run, we have to solidify the OL and give Sam the Ram some decent playmakers.

If DA goes , we need Tavon, and it's looking like it's going to happen.

I hope DA gets the BIG pay day if he leaves, that'd basically be someone else paying him for how well he played for us :cheese:

I agree that's like the best case scenario. I think we can grab Austin, but Warmack may very well be gone in the top 10

I doubt top 10 for Warmack ,his combine wasn't impressive

His combine wasn't that impressive, I agree, but the fact is it really didn't need to be. He's still going to be the first guard taken and perhaps the best guard to come out in the past 10 years. Unless there's a surprise pick ahead of us (and I'm not discounting that at all since this is a weird draft), I just don't see him falling to us.

Yeah he can play, but the top ten is pretty exclusive territory for guys who can play and impress at the combine BOTH.

The jist I get from rhetoric on XM is this, with the way people get ready FOR the combine NOW,if you are unimpressive and were a top caliber player going in,it's a ,"this guy may be lazy and won't work hard enough off season to be elite" sorta red flag.

THIS...OL man, maybe 2, a go to receiver, and then a running LB and Safeties. no matter how we get them, these are needs, maybe wants also, but whats the difference?

LB last, but the rest I'm down with and a Sam at that
OL and I'm good with it being Warmack if he falls to us,and I think it's possible .

Since when does that have anything to do with pre-draft hype and the combine? :boing:

It scared me, but he must have worked hard, he lost a ton of weight. Another concern of mine is that he didn't lift at the combine. People call me crazy, but I like Cooper better. Cooper can escort the RB all the way into the end zone. Warmack is a mauler, Cooper is more explosive. Just heard Softli's comments, he really likes Cooper too. He thinks he can step in and start right away. Cooper looks like he'd be a great Center if he ever had to play there.

I'll defer to DR's observations as he knows more about O-line than I will probably ever know. But I am a Mizzou grad and watched the SEC pretty closely this past year. Saw at least four Alabama games, and watched Warmack (and Barrett Jones) specifically because I heard they had the talent of a first round guard/center and the Rams needed some help there. Warmack was crazy good. He completely abused everyone and though he didn't abuse Richardson (who is a top 20 pick), he outplayed him. I saw Warmack kick outside too, and I thought he did that well. The only thing is that if Rok develops along with Dahl, guard is not as big of a need as RT is. I think the Rams have to come away with a tackle who they feel they can move to LT next year, because Saffold will be a FA after this year. I don't want them going into next year's draft with a big hole at LT. So all in all, I'd rather the Rams draft a tackle (even if that means moving up to do so).
