Just for discussion.

Not hating on Wade.

There is a lot of talent on this D.

Is it possible that this new NFL is not Wades cup of tea.

You know the game passes by O coaches all the time. Does that apply to D coaches as well?

I love me some
Wade. But it's a fair observation

Didn't all those graphics coming up in the 1dr half show the Rams on D top 10 in multiple categories? One bad game does not a season make.

Also, the Saints have a good offense. Simple as that

He seems good at making adjustments, so he is capable. I don't know the defence is never ready to play at kick off. It's going to cost us in the playoffs. Wade needs to improve, but it is not all his fault. Look at all the missed tackles. Or Peters' poor mental play all season. Or being without his #1 CB for some time now. Those things aren't his fault. But he needs to be better.

I don’t think so, he’s been coaching for so long and seen so many changes in coaching, I have a hard time thinking he would have trouble adjusting now, I think our LBers hurt us more than people imagine, and our defensive backfield isn’t playing up to expectations, his scheme relies heavily on a strong pass rush and man coverage, so if one fails, it’s likely the other will

I think Wade needs to start running some real practices for awhile and teach these guys how to tackle properly. This arm tackle crap has gotta go.

Yes but don't let that get in the way of some whining. We played a great team and we showed well. It's amazing how some feel only the Rams can be good and have good players. We just played the 2nd highest scoring team in the NFL in their house and took their best shot and were in the game at the end.

Sorry don't agree. This Ds leaks have been going on all season. It's week after week.

I defer to what I said. I'm not talking
About the saints O. I'm talking about Wades D.

It's not very good

No ones whining. Just take your blinders off and look at this D.

It has serious issues.

There's nothing new about the NFL, per se'. Wade has been around long enough to see how other teams can pass the ball for a shit ton of yards from time to time, and he's seen all the plays OCs can offer. Execution hasn't been all that great lately, IMO, and that's been the problem.

Yeah shame on us for not being able to shut down one of the best offenses in the NFL with a Hall of Fame QB who is on the way to setting all these career passing records. What a bunch of scrubs we have on defense.

If the CBA allowed it, I am sure he would

Wade put Joyner and Barron in position to make plays and they didn't. Not Wade's fault, although he needs to give Peters help or bench him

There's nothing new about the NFL? Surely you see the bend towards the O. Your too wise for that.

if the game can pass an O coach by. It surely can pass a D coach by.

For me. It's starting to look like such.

Wade has been given as much on D and McVay has on O. So far he is not delivering.

Didn't really expect to shut them down. But Wade was given a shit ton on D. I would expect him to show better than the rookie D coach on the other side.

Is it too much to expect a HOF coach of his stature to maybe slow their ass down?

Why do his adjustments come at the half and not after a drive or quarter? That's what I can't figure out, because our adjustment in the run game was great in the second half. He put more focus on Kamara in the passing game too.

But why cant he do this before the half? Maybe his 71 year old mind needs that much time to process and implement changes I don't know. His defenses are better than this, someone isn't coaching something right.

Well sure there are more safeguards in the game for the offense, but that doesn't mean the plays are different. What is Phillips supposed to do about that? That's one of those things that are out of his control. All he can do is scheme, drill fundamentals, and practice. What he doesn't have to do is adapt to new rules the NFL has implemented to handicap ALL defensive coordinators.
