I remember both games.

About 20 minutes into the Rams-Redskins Game, the Rams' Kermit Alexander had a pick-six. The Rams D-Line on that play featured three future Hall of Famers ... Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen and Jack Youngblood.

Add in Aaron Donald, and THAT would be the ALL TIME RAMS' D-Line.

Youngblood was a rookie. Also on the field for the Alexander TD were three other rookies ... Isaiah Robertson, Dave Elmendorf and Ken Geddes. All were foundation pieces for some Great Defenses in the coming seasons.

Well, it's better than what he called Alvin Garrett....
I really disliked Cosell; and he was dumb, naive and careless for referring to Alvin Garrett as a 'little monkey.'

However, Cosell used that exact same term years earlier on Monday Night Football, referring to Kansas City RB Mike Adamle ... who was white.
