Just...the domestic violence allegations against his longtime assistant (that he had to know because his wife told him about it), the claims of mistreatment by former players, and his lenient attitude towards players who committed crimes (Aaron Hernandez, obviously, Jamar Hornsby, who stole a credit card from a dead woman - just after she and a former player died, no less - and used it until he was caught, etc.) are abhorrent and disgusting.

Fuck that guy. He deserves to be blackballed from the football ranks.

He always has been.
I doubt he loses his job though. His wife will more than likely take the fall on this.

The thing that should save him, is the fact that he personally, has not abused anyone. Though turning your head to it shouldn't let him off the hook either.

Being a Buckeye IMO, it's time to move on....Meyer has too many faults and there is no excuse in this case, nothing worse IMHO than a man hitting a woman. I dealt with some cases in the military and the guys like that, when you get in their face, they cowtell and run away from you like a dog with their tail between their legs.

Again I'm a huge Buckeye, but I offer no excuses, it's time to move on and showcase a no tolerance policy for domestic violence because it's sad they allowed this loser on their staff.

So is Jim Jordan and the the entire coaching staff for the wrestling team that were fine with the team doc grabbing dicks for fun.

It looks like OSU is as bad as Penn State and MSU. And I would bet that this happens A LOT more than we know and athletes stay quiet because they don't want to lose opportunity and scholarships.

This shit cannot stand. Leave now, all of you. And go directly to hell.

@den-the-coach I didn't know you were from Ohio. I am too.

If someone asked me to take the fall on this I would shut them out of my life forever and expose them for asking. I can't see her taking the fall on this.

There is no way anything can save him here and certainly no way that he didn't abuse anyone is OK enough to keep his job.

Sorry about that, I am a University of Dayton grad and took classes at Ohio State and root for their team so that is what I meant as I attended every game in Columbus from 87-90 ...Spent six years in Dayton (Air Force WPAFB) 1984-1990 and head back to the great State of Ohio several times each year.

I agree with you entirely, Les. However, I highly doubt his wife wants him to lose that big paycheck. If he is fired, he may not find another HC job. Even if he can, it will most likely be at a small school in bum-fuck-Egypt. Losing that big payday and having to uproot and move who knows where?
I can completely see a case where she takes the blame on this.

I don't see that happening, if your wife knows, so do you case closed! There is husband/wife privilege, but this was an easy move for Meyer, once his wife told him, he should have put Smith on administrative leave (paid) pending investigation. Nobody gets hurt if it comes up negative and if it's true everyone applauds your efforts to uncover the truth.

Meyer and the University should have also reached out to Courtney Smith to ensure her safety, but they asked Zach not her, that was wrong too. I'm all for you are innocent until proven guilty, but when people's lives are in danger, you must act! And I don't care if he's a decedent of George Washington.

I agree with all of this. However. It's a situation where the Myer family is going to do anything and everything they can for him to keep his job. That's what snakes do.
I am in no way defending Meyer. I've never liked the guy.

Why did God make Snakes before Lawyers??? He needed the practice....He's done, he might be able to keep his money, but regardless it's time to move on. In the future Coaching Staff are going to need liaison's to over see these types of issues and ensure that Universities are doing everything in their power to ensure the safety of individuals that feel threaten.

Which would also make Ohio State liable.. As they should be. Ohio state needs to be held accountable on this as well.
I think we're in for a whole lot of finger pointing before this all gets settled.

I dunno...this is kinda like turning in your buddy once you find out he has problems at home that you only found out about because your wife told you.

I think a typical reaction would be to try to help them.

As far as him lying to the media about what he knows....so fucking what! It's none of the media's damn business.

This is a matter between the dude, his wife, tbier family and the law.

I don't know or like or dislike Urban Meyer at all...it just feels like a lynching, and the OP seems more than willing to carry the torch.

Saying that domestic violence is a matter between the dude, his wife, their family, and the law is such an outdated response that I don't have words to express my disbelief that you said that. I respect you as a poster, Dog, but domestic violence should not be brushed aside like that.
