As many of you know, I am not happy with the Rams this year.

After so many years of "The Suck" I was hoping McVay's Rams would stay solid for years to come.....(not perfect of course, but making the playoffs). Unfortunately this years team has fallen apart.

Many here are so upset they are trying to blind themselves from the fact that the team is not good, (Yes we have a winning record, but we are not a playoff team which is what I use to measure Good vs Bad).

The Rams offense was horrible last night. Being tagged as "Boring" in the entertainment business is really bad and that is what they were, (although that bomb to Reynolds was sooo sweet!). Yes we can run the ball...a little, but Goff and Gurley are in a weird place.

Our defense that everyone is trying to hype up is above average and not great.....yet. The Bears were the worst test due to how bad they are. If the Rams defense balls out against the Ravens, I will immediately elevate them to Good/Great.

The Rams are not the Rams we loved to see on the field for the last two years and it isn't clear yet what they will be in the future.

After 48 years of being a fan I have seen this type of Rams team before and I know the story all too well......we have very little chance of making the playoffs this year and I think we are a bad team. I am hoping we can get back to the last two years offensive play with hopefully a better defense for 2020 and beyond.

I'll agree that thus far this year, the Rams aren't living up to their performance the last two years, but it's the NFL. You just never know - there are always surprises.

Our O-line was a huge surprise last night. Hopefully it won't turn out to be a mirage. Once Havenstein is healthy, it will be interesting to see where he will line up. Let's hope they (Edwards, Corbett, and Evans) can build on their performance next game ..

It was nice to see Gurley back in action. I'm hoping we'll see a lot more of him next week and beyond ..

Yes, the line I have to give it up for them. They really did their jobs! You could see Gurley's wiggle back last night and some burst. Maybe he knows his knee has issues and has been depressed, hopefully a new smile will bring back the old Gurley.

Goff confuses me.....last two years he has been money on the medium throws while the deep ball was off. This year the few deep balls he has thrown look great while his medium accuracy is all out of whack.

I'd take 9 more wins in a row like this one.. but yeah it was ugly.

It can't all be chalked up to "good defense" either.

A shit ton of costly penalties.... Goff with some bad throws (the last drive he was money). Trubisky had a few good throws but way more bad throws than goff.

Maybe the field was part of the problem.... running backs looked like they were running in mud.

Dropped pass by the bears that let to a pick by the rams, some questionable calls.
Thomas drops a dime from Goff.

But Yeah ill take 9 more like it.

I know what many say...A win is a win, but I hate relying on the opponent to play bad or us get lucky. I hate using the Patriots as an example, (%$%#%! Patriots) but they only look to themselves to win or lose.

Last year the Rams did their job until late in the year when the Oline couldn't play the zone blocking scheme fer Sh!t. No one stood a chance against that almost perfect machine.

I know you shouldn't look for perfection, but I at least want to be somewhat close to it!

Naw bro...and I wouldn't necessarily call it ugly either. Here's why:

The Bears are pretty much clueless on offense, so defensively the Rams deserve a ton of credit. The Bear defense is good, but because McVay himself is struggling offensively, had a make shift OLine (that did very good), was cautious about losing this game with 2 WR starters out. The game was a defensive struggle until the 4th qtr when McVay found the answer.

I don't want 9 more wins like this, even though "a win is a win". I want McVay to figure himself out and get a good offense going!

The Ravens are next Monday night...and that game could be as what you call "ugly" as last nights game because they he Ravens won't be facing the Texans...and the Rams know what's at stake!

I don’t believe you are a Ram fan. Especially not a 48 year Ram fan. You would have QUIT long ago with that attitude. Another troll.

I think you're right. Does any other team in the NFL play on a field that's sometimes torn up the day before by a Power 5 college team?? USC played at CAL Saturday, but still that's a LOT of wear & tear on this field. It's no wonder we're so good away from home, because we're a good team & we're playing on better NFL quality fields.
2020 can't get here soon enough. May the LASED rise as one of the best playing stadiums in the NFL.

LOL! I'll let myself know how it works. Thanks for the update.

As for the Patriots, yes they won ugly this game to go to 9-1, but I was referring to 10 games played this season and not one game.

I went to every Ram training camp practice and every scrimmage (cept the one up north) and wrote up and posted here (with VetRamFan's help) at ROD.

VRF and I both were very worried about the Rams OL going into pre-season. Losing Saffold and Sullivan were going to be a lot to overcome for the OL. I'm not surprised the OL has struggled. Running the ball and pass pro were going to be an issue, and it has all season long.

I'm not a coach, but it's bothered me how Kromer has used his bench to shore up the OL. Demby was pathetic in TC and pre-season and yet Kromer stuck with him til the bye. Finally Edwards and Evans get a chance and the Rams are finally able to run the ball up the middle and over the right side of the OL.

Go figure. Guess I'm saying Coach Kromer has lost some credibility with me. Waited way to long to try more of his bench.

Waiting to see when (and if) Kromer tries Shelton at C. blythe has been a turnstyle.

The Rams are competitive every week. The needle is still pointing up on their future. And yes they have some weaknesses right now but these are still good times for being a Rams fan (from someone who has followed them since 1972).

Blythe was bad at guard, but he has looked okay at C. Let's see how it progresses.

The three tough teams that the Patriots have played are as follows:

1) Baltimore - got blown out
2) Buffalo - won ugly with a terrible game by Brady
3) Philadelphia - won ugly with another terrible game by Brady

The other games were against teams that were playing terrible at the time

Miami
New York Jets - twice
Cleveland Browns
Washington Redskins
New York Giants
Pittsburgh Steelers - somewhat tough but I wasn't really impressed with them when they played the Rams

The Rams have pretty much done the same against their poor opponents

Atlanta
Cinncinati
And yes - even Tampa Bay where the defense collapsed that game - at least the offense played well in that game

My reference of the Patriots was geared towards how consistent they are in winning their way and not relying on luck or a bad opponent. I agree and stated this elsewhere that they have had a cake schedule for years, but they still win in the playoffs and against great teams.

This is all I meant in reference....I hate those ^%^%$#!, but I have to admit they win consistently.

So were you expecting us to put up 40 points against the bears defense, with a makeshift offensive line? I was not.

They almost completely shut us down last year, this was a much better output.

They always win in the playoffs because even though they are a very good team - they almost ALWAYS have home field advantage due to their cake walk schedules each year and Foxboro is almost impossible for a visiting team to win in the winter.

So they almost have an automatic berth to the Super Bowl each year because of their cake walk schedule and home field advantage in the playoffs.

If Seattle and Atlanta had not succumbed to the Super Bowl pressure and didn't do IDIOTOC play calls that would have secured their victories, the Patriots would have a losing record in the Super Bowls (plus the two times they cheated in the Super Bowls to win).

They are not as great as people say they are. They are just darn good that have had the best circumstances (plus cheating) to have the record they have.

I will say they have been darn good for a long time so there is that but I still hate their cheating assbutts.
