23 in a row BABY!

Had College Game Day there this weekend... and Knight Nation set a record for attendance for that. There were students camping out in tents since Friday night just to be close to the stage. It was insane. @Ramrasta was there with his girl and they were on TV... he was also at the game... maybe he will share some pics with us ??? :fighting:

Anyway... they packed the Bounce House and gave a smack down to #24 Cincinnati. And for anyone saying that UCF hasn't played anyone... take a look at the beatdown the Knights put on Pitt. Guess what Pitt is playing for now? Oh... and Pitt should have won against the Irish too.

GO KNIGHTS

Oh... and @Ramrasta ... tell us about that whole thing will ya ! And post some damn pics !

Last year's UCF team could have played with the big boys. Bama or UGA would have beaten them, but they could have given Oklahoma or Clemson a run for their money. This year's UCF team isn't nearly as good imo. They're one of the top 15 teams, but I don't see them as deserving the top 4. But I don't really care if they get in. Alabama is just too good this year if Tua stays healthy.

They are doing good this year but don’t think a top 4 spot is warranted. I like UCF after watching those highlights of Griffith and Hughes last year, cool uni’s.

They will always be the Golden Knights to me and a special place in my heart as the first school to recruit (it was more me then them) and send me an acceptance letter. They beat a good Cincinnati team where Luke Fickell has done a very good job. When Lincoln Riley bolts for the NFL, will the Knights lose their Head Coach in Josh Heupel or will the Sooners reach out to another alum in North Texas HC Seth Littrell?

BTW I will never forget meeting Bill Peterson the Athletic Director of UCF back in the Winter of 84 all I kept asking him about was what went wrong when he was Head Coach of the Houston Oilers....Peterson tried to laugh it off, but I was relenteless as I never understood why Oiler Owner Bud Adams signed Peterson to a ten year Million Dollar Contract back in 1972 and was fired after 19 games with a record of 1-18, the worst in the history of the NFL. I'm sure "Pete." as he was called by his friends was glad I chose the Air Force to play football instead of UCF.

I've watched every UCF game going back to Blake's senior year. Most people only see their highlights if that... and that also includes the media and the college playoff committee. They get hosed because they are not in one off the big conferences.

If nothing else... it shows that the playoffs need to include at least 8 and maybe even a few more. Four isn't enough.

BTW... UCF beat Auburn last year in the Bowl game. Auburn beat the teams playing in the championship game.

Fortunately, UCF has learned from Scott Frost leaving for Nebraska. They have a clause that Josh Heupel cannot leave UCF for the full duration of his contract without a mutual agreement with UCF.

The Knights are the proof that the CFP is broken. It’s obvious to everyone that a minimum of an 8 team playoff is the logical next step. Football needs to be settled on the field, not by personal opinions of biased committee members. Otherwise, why play any games? We can just have a discussion on who is the best and give the debate winners the trophy.

UCF is suffering from Boise State-itis
Got to schedule some big time teams to move up

This is always the excuse to doubt UCF. “They don’t play anybody”. Last year, UCF played more ranked opponents than Alabama but this was still the storyline. UCF has tried to schedule more “big time” teams but you can count the teams on one hand that will accept to play UCF. The bottom line is there is an unwritten rule that the CFP is only going to allow “power 5” schools into the top 4. The playoffs need to be expanded or UCF needs to change conferences.

They're up to 9 now and not totally out of the picture. May not even take a miracle, I think they still have a shot
Ohio St beats Michigan- at OSU likely
Washington St loses to Washington- Tough one but totally possible
LSU loses to Texas A&M (may not even be necessary)
Oklahoma loses to West Virginia- at WVA, totally possible
Georgia loses to Alabama- no doubt

So the problem there would be OSU jumping them.
Not out of the realm yet man, keep the faith!!!

I am struggling to buy this. UCF used to play a legit team basically every year. I remember them playing teams like SC and Penn State recently.

Really sad what happened to the QB yesterday, but the team seemed to respond well.

Ohio State loses to Northwestern- OSU can’t stop the run and NW has found out how to run it!

The top 10 really played out well for UCF but it’s difficult to imagine how the team can still play at the same level without the most important player. Losing Mackenzie Milton for UCF is the equivalent of the Rams losing Jared Goff. Plenty of talent at other positions but it will take a miracle not to take a major step back. Backup Darrell Mack filled in admirably against USF but it was clear to see that the offense was carried by the running game which was only possible since we already had a big lead.

Just wondering what happens from here. Glad Milton’s emergency surgery was successful and he was able to keep his leg. Go Knights and especially Go Rams!

I see 5 ranked opponents for Alabama last year...

I was not including the post season in that considering the playoff since every playoff team is obviously ranked while nobody outside the top 4 gets to play those games.

Actually missed one they played #3 Florida State #19 LSU #18 miss state #6 Auburn... then they played two ranked teams in the playoffs. (4 regular season 2 post season)

UC played 3 (2 regular season 1 post season)

So sorry my man - but the narrative that UCF played more ranked teams than Alabama is false.

But I do agree with you that UCF needs to swtih conferences if it wants all of this to change!

I think we can all agree Florida State shouldn’t be considered a ranked team considering they were ranked #3 without having played a single game and had to schedule an extra game with Delaware St. to even be bowl eligible.

We can definitely count Auburn but they lost the game. I know the CFPC finds merit in losing to ranked teams but I typically don’t value a “quality loss”.

So I see LSU and Missippi State for Alabama vs Memphis (Twice) and USF for UCF. We can debate it but the logic is there.
