I for one love cooking a good Thanksgiving meal but have been directed that we'll be eating at the buffet.

Ok, I can deal.

Apparently also hosting watching the night game at our house after dinner.

My father in law is . . . well. . . I don't know.

Anyways.

I thought I would ask if anyone has a special recipe they want to share? Or special plans for a meal?

Last year I smoked a Ham with a Dr. Pepper rub and it was so good.

The sanctity of the kitchen is important to my wife during this time of year. So I have no idea how she does Thanksgiving Dinner, I just sit around on the sofa and starve myself with a liquid diet (beer) for maximum enjoyment.

Happy Thanksgiving all. :beer2::seahawk::foot

We're hosting, but my bro in law is smoking a turkey and will bring that. My wife and I made sides yesterday and I picked up a honey baked ham, so all I gotta do is heat it all up today.. I can drink beer and do that, no prob!

Im out in MO, sitting around while the in laws prep a massive Thanksgiving meal.

Football and food. Going to be a nice day.

Counting my blessings because so many people around the world and even in our country are struggling with food, shelter and relationships.

Traditional turkey and ham. With the fixings. Green bean casserole. Garlic mashed potatoes with cream gravy. Stuffing with Jimmie Dean sausage cooked in it. Pumpkin pie. And Holy Toledo dessert. Vanilla ice cream, vanilla pudding, Cool Whip and Ritz crackers for the crust and toppings. One of my favorite desserts.

Yep. I normally go all out, smoking a turkey, smoking a prime rib (even tougher on the lungs), and glazing a ham.

I usually do a stuffed, smoked turkey (injected with a Grand Marnier/sage marinade) even though everyone these days seem to think that's a no no. The drippings from a smoked turkey makes for a really decadent gravy.

Normally though we have a house full. This year it is just my wife and my oldest son. So it's to the Atlantis Grand Ballroom buffet we go. My goal is to make them sorry for putting out the King Crab. We went to this buffet before and it was amazing. King Crab, snow crab, dungeness, oysters, rack of lamb, prime rib, whole roast pig, etc, and I think they put out some various green stuff that is unlikely to see my plate.

People have told me there's no way they could eat enough to make the $90 worth it. Fucking amateurs!

Growing up my grandfather would do the turkey for the family and would stuff the turkey. He'd cook and finely chop the gizzards and put them in the stuffing too, which I didn't realize until later teen years. Sort of grossed me out tbh but the stuffing was always incredible.

I'm raiding the kitchen now (2am after Thanksgiving). Best night of the year for snaking.

Got a plate covered in mac n cheese, smoked turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, and cranberry/apple bake. Most everything on my plate it covered in mushroom gravy.

The brisket and lobster tails had no leftovers.

I always put the giblets in the gravy. I generally add sausage to the stuffing.

Our Leftover Turkey will be picked clean by Sunday. We have a houseful till Monday. So I went to my butcher and ordered 7 Ribeye's and got some baking Potatoes for the grill. For the game we will have snacks and stuffed Jalapenos and my wife's pumpkin pie tarts.
I'm on ice tonight because I just finished hanging the Christmas lights outside. Harder than it use to be. My sons are out chopping wood so my back should be sore until they are finished... lol
Happy Thanksgiving Rams Fans
