TRANSCRIPT: Head Coach Jeff Fisher, QB Sam Bradford, 11-28-12
Head Coach Jeff Fisher – Post-Practice – November 28, 2012
(On having C Scott Wells back in the lineup)
“As we said last week, if Scott got back on the field, it would be nice to get him out there. He really had only played a half for us all year. We’d expect it to get better and better as they’re playing together. But, I think the combination with Scott and (G/C) Rob (Turner) worked out real well for us because of the complexity of the defense and everything. We’ve just got to keep working these guys together as best we can.”
(On if Wells practiced today)
“He did not practice today, no.”
(On the challenge of preparing for two quarterbacks)
“We did that the first time around because (49ers QB) Colin (Kaepernick) played a little bit. When he’s in the game, you have to be ready for a slightly different offense. We’re going to do the same thing as we did the first time around: prepare for both of them.”
(On the challenge of defending Kaepernick’s running ability)
“(49ers QB) Alex (Smith) can run, too. He extends plays as well, but not to the extent that Colin does. But, it’s a challenge. Guys have to be aware. He pulls the ball down and runs for the first touchdown of the game against the Saints and that’s the additional dimension that he adds to that offense.”
(On if he would have rather kept playing against San Francisco instead of the game ending in a tie)
“We are. We just took a couple of weeks off and we’re going. This is quarter number six.”
(On if a win Sunday will count as two)
“We’ll have to petition to the league for something like that. But, that’s our approach. There’s two weeks in between and here we go again.”
