someone would think the problem is todd gurley the way people want to ship him off.

when every rb on the roster couldn't make any chunk plays it's time to look somewhere else.

Why not fix the offensive line instead of trading away a starting RB who could be "fine" with good blocking?
That's exactly what I said in the sentence the you quoted me lol

They did beat the Cheaters to keep them from getting a bye. Fitzs magic can find him out of the backfield better than Goff by extending plays. He is also from that region.
Born in MD and grew up in NC. How does that make him from South FL?

He's also a great face for the franchise and a fan favorite. If he gets anywhere near his 2017-2018 stats, with a revamped O-line, we are gold!

maybe Mcvay & The Rams swept everything under the rug withTodd Gurley ??
I’m still questioning his ability from back when CJ Anderson was a Ram. He took a back seat. Not sure he we’ll ever be back to what he was.

I thought his head was not into games down the stretch. Not looking for a pass out of the backfield. Block was not as good either. Still was a step slow. Malcom Brown was coming off injury as well. Didn’t show a burst on his special teams coverage like years past. There are some things that add up.
-Curious on his future. I do wish Todd Gurley the best whatever happens.

Gurley/RB1 is #8 on list of Rams off season concerns behind LT, OC,LG, ILB1, ILB2, OLB1, CB2.

We need to sleep in the bed we made here. Normally I would be the first to distance myself. I took a lot of flak for suggesting our offense was a mistake as long as we forced the ball to Tavon Austin.

This Gurley thing though...it’s not the same. I suspect we get a great year out of tree zero next year. I’m way less worried than I was at this point a year ago.

Yeah the pass catching was a bit of a worry. I think on many occasions if he thought the play was going nowhere he flat out refused to catch the ball. The worrying part was how many he dropped when there was something on. It was frustrating. For him and us.

Of course keep him.
I'm one that puts it down to the OL.
Goff was also off the mark, which didn't help the running game, plus McVay underusing him.
I think he posts better numbers this season and he always has a nose for the endzone.

If we traded all players that had off games, we wouldn't have a familiar team.
Some wanyed Goff out, then there was even talk of trading Donald.
Show some faith in our team; some aggressive trades haven't gone according to plan, but Gurley is one player I want to keep.

She's back with her well thought out prediction. To make it clear, it's not well thought out. The rams aren't giving up picks.

Los Angeles Rams

In a pinch to find space under the salary cap, the Rams will attempt to trade running back Todd Gurley.

Whether L.A. can pull it off remains another question, given Gurley's massive contract that includes $45 million in guarantees and runs through the 2023 season, as well as the uncertainty that continues to surround the long-term health of his surgically repaired left knee. This past season, Gurley played a diminished role in the offense, rushing for 857 yards, his fewest since the 2016 season (885). -- Lindsey Thiry

Trade Gurley? No.

Next thread..

Your going to put blinders on. Those dark out curtains work nice, but sometimes it’s brighter on the other side.
I like Todd Gurley , but have thought this would be a good move, only because of the cap.

Yup the possibility of trading him has been proven to be something that won't happen for a long while now. Him and Cooks.

how has that been proven ??

You really don't pay attention. But OK I'll bite. Add up the money left on all three of those players contracts when they were traded and it wouldn't equal what would hit us if we trade Gurley. It's simply not financially possible to trade him this year. It's been explained over and over and over again. Get used to the fact that Gurley and Cooks will be Rams for the 2020 season and possibly 2021 as well though then we can get out of them somewhat easier.

Just wondering if there are medical or orthopedic specialists that can work with Todd in the off-season. Or maybe even a psychologist would even help. There is something inside me that says that can Todd can return to top form. Could be wrong. What do ya' all think? i sure would like to know. I love the Rams and Ram fans. Please shed some light. Thanks.

Fix the interior of the OL and adjust McVay's play calling a little then Gurley will be just fine.

Trade Lindsey Thiry

Gurley does not have a surgically repaired knee, he is dealing with an arthritic condition like Faulk and Bruce did.
