Top three positions to target in 2025

Time flies.

Won’t be long until the 2025 draft is upon us.

Yes, a year is a long time in football and anything can happen. But I think that we have certain experienced players who will need to be replaced over the next year or two.

And I am fully aware that certain posters think that next year’s draft class is not particularly good. But every team in the league will have to face that problem.

I would hope that we have solidified the trenches for the next few years, but not everyone will agree. Which positions do you all think we should aim for in next year’s draft?

1. Wide receiver.

(Yeah, I'm rating it over offensive tackle, depending on if - and only if - A-Jax signs long-term or not. Yes, we just drafted Jordan Whittington, but we have four free agents in Robinson, Johnson, Atwell, and Skowronek. Kupp's injuries and statistics are very worrisome, having declined from the year after his Triple Crown year. Nacua and Whittington have a physical brand of play that could cause injuries. But more than anything, we need a big speed threat at wide receiver; nobody except Atwell is going to take the top off at the moment.)

2. Left tackle.

(I'd love to re-sign A-Jax, but I feel like he'll ask for the moon - and rightfully so. Noteboom is a free agent after this year as well, and he'll likely look for a starting job - as he should. I don't want Noteboom to be our starting left tackle, I'm sorry. A younger tackle in next year's class should be a priority.)

3. Cornerback.

(I'm terrified that we're relying on Tre'Davious White and Darious Williams. as our starters, but what terrifies me even more is seeing Kendrick potentially start. I never want to see Derion Kendrick start another game, and with White's injury history and D-Will's age, it's likely. I like Durant, and I think THT has potential, but we're relying on aged veterans, late round picks, and UDFAs to fill a giant void. Even if our pass rush exceeds even my wildest expectations, that's a lot of pressure on our corners. I want two in next year's class.)

Honorable mentions:

ILB.

(If we don't re-sign Ernest Jones - which we absolutely should - we'll need a starting inside linebacker...again.)

RB.

(We'll see if K-Will and Corum stay healthy. Either way, we need to draft at least one running back every year.)

QB.

(I'd draft a backup quarterback if we rightfully pay Stafford what he's owed.)
