Rams' Todd Gurley featured in new burger commercial

Even though the relocated Rams have yet to play a down in Los Angeles, the franchise is already making inroads on the airwaves. Running back Todd Gurley, last season’s offensive rookie of the year, is featured in a soon-to-be-released burger commercial for Carl’s Jr.

The “Welcome to California” ad, which debuts Monday, touts the California Classic Double Cheeseburger and co-stars comedian Jay Mohr as Gurley’s agent.

Gurley, walking with Mohr through the halls of a swanky agency, signs a football, poses for a selfie with some fans, and takes a big bite of the burger his agent provides him.

There’s no question Gurley will be a pivotal figure when it comes to the promotion of the Rams. When the club pitched its stadium proposal to the rest of the NFL, it used more than 60 renderings – only one of which showed a Rams logo anywhere on or around the venue.

However, Gurley appeared in several of the slides, including a billboard-sized picture of him in the background of a stadium exterior shot.

Such a shit commercial. The burger is so obviously photo shopped when he picks it up and takes a bite. Maybe edit that shit before putting it out there.

It could be photoshopped but it probably not. Almost any food commercial where they show said food isnt the actual food itself. They use things to make it look better. If you watch any Carl's jr commercial they never really take a bit because its all fake shit in there like glue and what not to make it look better.

Oh, thank goodness! From the title I was having visions of him in a swimsuit, washing a car while eating a burger, dripping suds all over . . . . GAAAKKK! I need to go to the bootie thread!

He needs to be worrying about practicing and getting better for the upcoming season than making commercials.

The looks of the Burger make me Hungry for ...

I had heard about in n out for years but had never seen one...They built one in Medford last year...I've never been so disappointed over a supposed great thing..My brother and my daughter were both ravers...My daughter said this one is terrible...My brother hasn't been there after our critiques...

Yeah, it's pretty crazy the extent they go to for food commercials. Strategically placed poppy seeds, airbrushed meat, etc.

So football players with 5% fat and chicks that have less than that all do it by eating Carl's Jr hamburgers? Is that the message? Or is the message that if I eat at Carl's Jr, I could meet Todd Gurley and see a bunch of hot scantily clad chicks all over the place? I have been to Burger King, McDonalds, even Carrolls and have never seen any of that stuff. Heck, I even worked at a Burger King and never seen it. This Carl's Jr. must be quite the place or they are putting Cocaine in their food or something.
