Thoughts on drafting OT and C with 1st two picks

Fuck it. I'm tired of our OL being the bottom of the barrel each year and getting punked. I know we need our future QB but at this point I'm just ready to nip it in the butt and reset it so it can eventually be up there with the Lions, Eagles, Cowboys etc. Rob is too old and can't handle a bull rush anymore and Shelton is undersized. We need to stop rotating through these late round prospects hoping that we eventually find a diamond in the rough.

I’m with you. We can be weak at CB or OL but not both. I’d use one of 1st round and the 2nd round on OL next year (either in Draft or better yet as a trade this year). Unless a stud OC or OT that I’m not aware of is available in FA.

Im with you on this too. What does it matter if we draft a QB, hes gonna be dead with this o'line. We need to fix this o'line either Draft, FA or Trade ASAP!
Only FA at C are linderbaum from Ravens and MCgovern from Bills. Also injured Corbett.

CB we can get a trade Deadline.

I mentioned the same idea Sunday. It seems like we are always looking for solutions, especially on the interior, the going with stopgaps or retreads. I was really envious watching that Lions team run it down the Ravens' throats on two drives for TDs that both started inside their own five yard line. Their interior line was just pushing the Ravens 4-5 yards back off the snap on some of those plays. I think our red zone woes would be a lot better if we could consistently get those tough 5-7 yard runs inside the red zone like Det was doing.

im on the Trade deadline instead of Draft boat. Trade both picks for weapons, and go smash Philly in NFCCG on our way to SB! Our window is now and next year. New QB will do nothing for us right now. At least get another SB before #9 hangs up the cleats . We have Stafford for at least 2 years. 4 more with void years if needed. The QB is gonna do nothing for 4 years min if we draft one. JimmyG will take over if Stafford retires.

Not draft prospects specifically, but I’m thinking about how we can improve based this year so far. I think that’s relevant.

If the draft were to have two players at those positions worthy of being taken high then I'm all for it. Then go corner and take a shot on another dev QB.

But there's a long way to go this season. Hoping the OL finishes strong like it has the past couple seasons. I'm with you though. I think we need investment in this front, and if I was in Stafford's shoes that would have been more important to me than redoing the paycheck.
