One team that will try to emulate turning NFL games into track meets is the Baltimore Ravens. In a season in which they finished 14-2 and won the AFC North, head coach John Harbaugh and his offense will look to build on their 2019 success.

With the offensive skill position players, this team can go up against anyone in a dead heat relay, even the track team in Kansas City led by Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman. When you combine 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson’s speed along with Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, Justice Hill, and new draft picks JK Dobbins, Miles Boykin and Devin Duvernay, NFL defensive coordinators are going to be kept up all night thinking of their preparations before playing against Baltimore.

There's speed all over the place. How can anyone defend this successfully for 60 minutes?

Even tight end Mark Andrews can outrun most linebackers trying to cover him. This offense is going to have a field day for 16 weeks running circles around the NFL.

With this kind of speed in Baltimore, good luck tackling any of these guys in the open field. When the Chiefs and Ravens face off in Week 3, that will determine which skill position group is the true Legion of Zoom.

Well , I think people better be a bit careful before anointing Baltimore with such glowing expectations. Every NFL D Coordinator will be studying what Nashville did to get into Lamar’s head in the playoff loss. Lamar is going to have to pass from the pocket much more this year...so let’s see how that goes.

When it comes to running QB’s... as much as I hate to admit it... Russell Wilson is the best combo.

Wilson can run, admittedly not like Jackson... but he is a smart runner. Wilson never takes a hard hit. And, he’s built stocky to handle the rigors of a little running.

Keep Jackson in the pocket (easier said than done) and make him beat you with his arm.

Speed is useless if you can't run routes or catch/throw with consistency. Ike and Torry and the GSOT were called a "track meet" as well, but neither of those two was particularly fast.

I'll take quick guys with great hands and sharp route combos all day. Football above the neck boys. It's a thing.

The Titans have good linebackers. That helps when assigning containment to a fast running QB.

I was very impressed with Lamar Jackson because I did not think he could throw with any accuracy, however, he worked on it last off season and proved me wrong. Dobbins is the perfect back for this offense and I expect him to have a big year, he's the best RB they have had since Ray Rice.

They are a machine in Baltimore always drafting well and going from Ozzie Newsome to Eric DeCosta has been seamless and Raven Owner Steve Bisciotti must be something because living in Baltimore can't be great and I don't care how great the suburbs are, but Bisciotti was able to keep DeCosta for years away from many alluring franchises including the Rams.

Overall I was amazed how they kept acquiring draft capital and how their talent level is quite amazing, I sure hope the Rams get there eventually. As long as Jackson continues to progress I expect the Ravens & Chiefs to battle it out for the AFC Championship for many years to come, although I was very impressed how Mike Vrabel & the Tennessee Titans went into Baltimore and punched them right in the mouth. That's how you take out a bully and Jackson has had two underwhelming performances in the playoffs, so there is always hope, he chokes in big games.

The Ravens are fast & they are trying to win that SB as quick as possible while their QB in playing in his first NFL contract. How fast they can they reach the top? The next 2 seasons is where the Ravens will speed their way through the NFL while they have a good amount of salary cap to throw around with all that great drafted talent.

Lamar Jackson market value is already guesstimated 5 yrs @ $188 million. $37.4 million a year. This number could rise too.

That's impressive speed all around. They need to find a faster TE though.

Having speed and a fast mobile QB makes it tough on defenses to cover when the QB scrambles. They were hard to defend before they added Dobbins and Duvernay. I think they step it up a notch this year.

Wilson is a special case I think, it's why he's probably going to be in the Hall one day. He's so damn smart about how he plays, I think he has a long career, as much as it pisses me off.

I just hope Seattle does something stupid and trades him or lets him walk or something.

Yeah I'm with you on Baltimore @Tano. Some years back I had to go there on a routine basis for work purposes and it was by far my least favorite travel location (that era had me going to many cities across the US). Just an unattractive place and where we had to go the crime was terrible.

Only place that was comparable was New Jersey, it was across the river from Philly and the company had ten foot high fences with barbed wire atop them lol. Really rough area but it seemed like Baltimore had a ton of areas like that.
