Rams Mock Draft Roundup 2.0

It’s about that time. It’s time to do another check-in with the online mock drafts to see which players the national media thinks the Rams have a chance at landing in late April’s NFL Draft.
The NFL Combine has come and gone and in the process given us insight into the skills and measurables of the top prospects. We’re also a week into the free agency period and the Rams have been active, addressing needs and adding depth. Taking all of that into account we now have a better sense of who the Rams might be targeting, or at the very least, which positions they may be honing in on when it comes to using their eight selections in the upcoming draft.
Our latest roundup once again features who the experts have the Rams taking with the 37th overall pick — their first selection in the draft — as well as some deeper dives into what the Rams might be thinking in the later rounds.
USA Today: Bryan Kalbrosky, Rams Wire (2/24)
“Ross had the most touchdowns (17) out of any Power-5 conference receiver last season. He also had 81 receptions for 1,150 yards — or 14.2 yards per catch.
The Washington star is 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds with a projected 40-yard dash time of 4.25 seconds and a vertical jump of 38 inches. His three-cone drill was 6.71 seconds.
Despite his small size, he compares more to top wideouts like Odell Beckham, Jr., Antonio Brown and T.Y. Hilton than a typical slot receiver.”
The late Dennis Hopper would have appreciated that last selection.

“What Engram brings to the table is elite speed in a big frame. He ran a 4.42 at the combine, which isn’t easy to do when you’re 6’3” and 234 lbs. Engram’s also an accomplished route runner and he can cause fits for anyone who is assigned to him. The most impressive thing about Engram I see is that he’s remarkably elusive and shifty for such a big receiver.”
