That would be SOOOOO Mark Davis regime. I'm buying it. Too bad SUCKERS!!!!

Not buying it,but my gosh did my throat drop when the pick was made.So wanted Byron Young and when it was announced theTV folks weren’t sure who it was??? Thought it was N.I. Saints though. They must have been the next team drafting ???

Anyways- what a Stud.My GF got behind him in training camp, and just about lost it! LOL - She’ll always remember his tight ass.
She just said he has a big juicy butt,as she mocks me. Said #0 !!

.

They took the wrong one alright.

But i don't believe they made a mistake. They got the guy they wanted. They are just awful at drafting good football players.

There's no way they picked a player from one school and a player from another school got chosen.

If it were true, it would be the most raidery thing that ever raidered....

Almost zero percent chance of it being true, but good for a laugh. Davis and the Derps got their guy. They probably just saw Alabama and Tennessee and said, "well Alabama wins all those championships, derrrrrr... Let's take that one..... Derrrrrrrrrr....."

I believe, when submitting the pick on the draft card, NFL teams must also include the player's school and position, not just the player's name. So this story seems far-fetched. You never know though!

Yeah - was a head scratcher though of why they went in that direction?? What an amazing pick !!! You look at the 2023 & think wow what an Excellent Draft !!

Then you look at The Rams 2024 Draft & it could be The BEST RAMS DRAFT- EVER!!! They did give up a lot for B. Fiske though???

We can go look back at The Rams DE draft picks though !! Wow - Jared Verse , but The Rams had some good ones.

There was 1 pick way back I wanted The Rams to draft & did.Wonder what I was thinking??
I do know the 9ers were ahead of The Rams & wanted them to TRADE UP !! I’m afraid to go back & look.I think I even prayed about it!!
Wow - should have went world wide & not been such a Draftnk type.
—To think how much some of us spend time wise on this ???

All in all a lot of Franchises haven’t been good. LES SNEAD & SEAN MCVAY should be ASHAMED at THEMSELVES though at some of these drafts!!!

Sean Mcvay losses a lot of my respects in some of this ?? You know - what a GREAT HC & HOF Coaching TREE !!

To think Brian Allen was the FIRST NFL to get COVID on the record ??
Still to think LES SNEAD had COVID on Draft Day WEEKEND!!

Leaving Sean Mcvay at the post by himself ??? I don’t know but Brusss
Didn’t workout to well & all those draft picks missing in the First Round ???

EJ53 getting traded ??? Les Snead sure is good & on his game !!

The beauty of The Rams though are players like Littleton,A.Jackson,Hekkar, speights,Hoecht!
coaching them up as well.

Those DB’s(rookies) all played a big part —Josh Wallace,Jaylen McCollough,Cam Lampkin,Charles Woods

Dedich - LG/c. then all the player pickup & developments.Dylan McMahon

An excellent example Emmanuel Forbes !!

Maybe sending it down to the guys who draft and turn in the card f’d up?

Got to believe out of all these years there has to be one time it’s been messed up especially by a distinctions origination like the Raiders.

Unless the wrong school was written down on their draft board because of their incompetence. :)

They called the Tennessee Byron Young and told him they drafted him. That's the key piece that makes it all possible.

The person who made the call from their HQ to the draft where the selection card was printed could have said the wrong school. The person writing it down could have mistakenly wrote down the wrong school.

I doubt it. What's more likely is the person making the call found Byron Young on the list, called him, and then realized he screwed up and called the wrong Byron Young. Why do I think that? The Raiders already had EDGE Maxx Crosby (coming off an All Pro season) and drafted EDGE Tyree Wilson at #7 that year. So them taking another EDGE in the 3rd round doesn't make much sense.

You are likely correct but maybe they’d go BPA. Having a good rotation isn’t a bad thing

Erm, it's the Raiders.
They also had Malcolm Koonce, a third rounder from 2021, in the rotation. Koonce ended up breaking out in 2023 (but missed 2024 with a knee injury). So I doubt even the Raiders would select another edge rusher at that spot.

Back in 2002, the Rams selected an OL out of AZ St. named Travis Scott in the 4th Round.

It was out-of-Left-Field because Scott was not on any draft lists. He was not even a full-time-starter in college. Scott himself said he had no expectation to be drafted. Scott didn't even make it through his first Training Camp; and was cut.

There was speculation, at the time, that the Rams fucked-up and intended to select Scott's AZ St. teammate, OL Scott Peters, who was also drafted in the 4th Round and played seven seasons in the NFL.
