It all boils down to the fact that we didn't have a sufficient enough running game to begin with. Kyren started as a "two," got upgraded to a "one" when Akers was demoted. Akers demotion and trade were fine, but was never sufficiently replaced. What the heck went down between Mac and Akers? Who knows? But McVay has never paid attention to a significant running game and it shows.

Great post for the vent thread. But it was trending down before that IMO

It went down because the offense couldn’t convert first downs and score points and left a defense that is full of players that shouldn’t be in the NFL on the field. Rams defense got exposed because the Rams offense got exposed.

We're talent deficient in all 3 phases. Offense, defense and special teams. A healthy Kyren was not gonna change that.

Last 2 seasons went downhill when mcvay dismantled his top 10 oline in favor of other positions....again. It's just a way worse result this time around.

Yeah lots of reasons for the nosedive but I do agree Williams was a big element.

Every week we continue feeding Henderson, btw, we will probably lose. Sorry to say it but this offense looks a certain way when he's in the backfield and it's not good. Not all his fault mind you but it's an interesting truth that you simply cannot rely on him to take over a game. Ever. Good backs will do that time to time even behind our OL.
