Hill threw some ducks out there for sure but he definitely threw some with the pocket closing in. He delivered today - that is no doubt. I'm good with you being able to gloat here because Hill was a huge part of this win.

I know you are not looking for it but congrats Ramz (meh - you too Jrry and CoachO :D). Some of these things are subtle differences but Hill showed the experience that sometimes makes a big difference between a win and a loss.

If we had been wrong, no one would be happy about it, so gloating is unnecessary (well, maybe just a tiny bit). There's no doubt the defense and special teams won this game though. Two picks, pressure all day, sacks, great field position control against Denver. Hill did enough to win with GZ making the high pressure long FGs and extra possessions from the D. This Rams team has me excited again!

Crazy thought of the day: the QB change won the Rams the game as much as the defense.

Davis had been directly responsible for at least 7+ points again the last few weeks. Had a pick 6 and a fumble been returned for a TD in the game, the Rams may have lost.

Kudos to Fisher for doing what was right

It's a toss up which was the best Ram game I've went to this year. Shehags game was great but this was almost perfect.
Go Rams.

10-6 gets a WC birth. Just sayin'. What a game. And McDonald is just a freaking playuh.
Not really. What about the 49rs and Hawks having better records than us currently, and most likely staying a little ahead all season long. 10-6 probably won't get us in. :(

I'm also celebrating the fact that Jamal Charles made the chickens look like a bunch of monkeys, trying to pull an 6 inch coconut through a 3 inch hole.

One of my best friends who's a diehard Denver fan is beside himself. He actually likes the Rams, but he has exacting standards for "his Broncos"...he's not so different than many of us in that regard.

I don't think he realizes that in the last 4 weeks, we've now beaten, Seattle, SF and Denver.

That's a hell of a way to go 3-1.[\B]

Most pundits would have us go 0-4 in that 4 game stretch. We can't go back and replay those games, but if this D continues to get better and better... and Hill plays as he played today or even just moderately improves as he gets more 1st team snaps... This team will be one of the toughest outs in the 2nd half of the season...

For the first time, I can say that I agree that 10-6 isn't just silly. If our D keeps improving, we actually can run the table. And doing THAT would put us in position to really do damage in the playoffs... I think 10-6 would make a wild card...

Think about that, folks.

Some one forgetting about KC and AZ?

Hawks looking very beatable in most games and IMO will lose more than 2 of their remaining games. Frisco too. The Lions are bound to come down to earth. So... Yeah - in the scenario of the Rams winning out, 10-6 could very well take a WC spot. Right now we are even with SF on head to head and we hold it over Seattle. Dallas or the Eagles lose more than they win and voila. All we have to do is win every game from here on out.

Yes this D is scary good. Just think how good it will be when Chris Long comes back. Look out!

I just returned from the game (got something to eat on the way home). Looking at the stats it was a lot of Ogletree but during the game McDonald stood out to me on defense along with Gaines. On offense I kept my eyes on Greg Robinson almost exclusively and was very impressed. I did turn away for a few plays one of which was the nasty sack. Still, he impressed me greatly.

I'm very excited, obviously. Great performance by the entire team.

Go Rams!

I liked how they used Tavon on so many plays. Run a decoy over and over again and eventually you can catch the defense off guard(I'd still like to replace Schotty). Stedman has some amazing hands, our receivers in whole have been very good at catching this season.

That D is good. Fun to watch and nasty. I actually thought during the game; 'Would they investigate Gregg Williams with his past? This defense is just going to kill people'

Great win! Can't wait to watch the replay. Lots of winnable games down the stretch. Let's make a run!

2 picks should of been 3 if tj didnt drop 1. we are a Qb and a couple o lineman away from being legit. We could totaly run the table only 2 games that worry me is Az and Sea. But we play Az at home and with Hill hopefully takeing care of ball im not to worried

Re- visiting the decision , first let me say if our defense limits our opponents to 7 points a game and we have a FG kicker like Leg. we are tied with AZ for best record in the NFL with either of our QB's THEORETICALLY , and Tre Mason running for all those yards is something HAD Manning had at his disposal IMO the game would have been vastly different.
That said Shaun Hill did a very good job of getting the ball further down field than ADavis had been and protected the ball well, so the decision worked out great for this week .
Both of our QB's are capable of having good games , they are both capable of poor games as well and so I couch my optimism because we have a stern test once again this coming week against another elite QB and team and then a very likely 0- fer Oakland team with a long week to prepare .

Hopefully we can win these next two get to .500 with 4 games left two of which we "should win " and two we can win.

In the MMQB the rhetoric leading to the two QB changes was given note and I still think it was mismanaged , but in the end if Fish is willing to take the heat for the ill advised words in order to do what he thinks he needs to do, fine. Hopefully though he isn't unaware that he might as Kings column said omit "the rest of the season" from his future pronouncements .

Once again though and THIS pisses me off, NFL network is ALL OVER how big a part Jamaal Charles 169 yards against the Seahawks was so vital and SHOWED NOTHING about Tre Mason and his 113 yards against the "vaunted" Denver defense

Finally , I think Hill DID do a better job yesterday than Davis would have and didn't put his defense in bad circumstances LARGELY because Hill didn't lose his poise ,which the general consensus is that Davis has lost some .

Right side of the O line showed up vs. Denver, Wells played very, very well. Hekker did his thing, just a great punter. Hill played like a solid vet does, poise and decision making. The idea of a pass rush is enough to disturb Omaha....he got the idea early in this game. Better tackling. McDonald is a stud. Stick with the running game to control the clock. Greg the Leg showed up big today....two long clutch kicks that were no doubters.
Great team win.

Great team win. Hill was off on the long ball for most of the day, but NO INTs. Great game plan from start to finish. Tre Mason is a stud.
