The Raiders have it even worse than the Chargers do. Dumb and Dumber,Spanos and Davis, have really made the NFL a laughingstock.I love it that traiter Davis has made the Raiders the laughingstock of the league every bit as much as Spanos has with the chargers in LA. WHY Vegas would want a team operated by a clown like this is incredible to say the least.comedy gold. this is the clown you are getting vegas, enjoy.LOL

They need to change the signs we always see hanging on the walls from commitment to Excellence to Commitment to being a clown.comedy gold.LOL:rolllaugh:

I would have to think that Vegas is just happy to get a team.
In addition, the Raiders will still be there after Davis gone. Paving way to an owner with deep pockets.
The LV Raiders would seem to be worth far more than the Oakland Raiders as well.

Eh, as much as I like to make fun of Gruden I think he'll have a competitive team in a couple of years if he doesn't get himself fired before then. Only real thing I didn't agree with is dumping Mack. The dude is a stud and he should have paid the man. But he may have ignored Gruden to get out because who wants to waste their prime years in a rebuilding project? So who knows. The Chargers are in a really bad spot though. Unless they start winning a ton but that seems unlikely this year and Rivers isn't going to play much longer. They will be hard pressed to convince anyone to fill those seats in LA for a while unless they get extremely lucky replacing Rivers in a year or two.

Totally agree. Franchise removal is a joke, the NFL is a joke for going along with it even thought it's a slap in the face to all fans, the law goes along with it despite its constituting false advertising (marketing a team as intrinsically linked with a locality) and the worst part is the casual "fans" in new cities supporting another city's team as if it was their own. Total clowndom.

I'll just say I'm totally ok with all this.

Our team was ripped away from us in '94, and has been a total shit show in every way from 2005-2015.

Ten years ago, who'd a thunk the Rams would be back in So Cal, 6-0 heading into a 9er game, while every other west coast team is pretty much in disarray?

You got your Raiders, 9ers, Chargers and Seahawks all whacked out. Moving East, the Cardinals and Broncos kinda...suck can we say?

The road to success is paved with failure. The Rams have finally finished their road!

i know the cool thing to do this season so far is hate on Gruden and the Raiders, but i feel like its too early for all that tbh. yes they look horrible, but they arent a really talented team to begin with. and I have a feeling being in Vegas will increase their revenue from what it was in Oakland, which would essentially end the whole trapped because too poor arguement

Raiders will kill it in Vegas. By the time they move in to their stadium Gruden will have them rounding into shape. They'll sell that place out like crazy with visitors flyin in and the Vegas fans/industry.

Davis basically lucked into a situation that will be very good to his team. But yeah, it's a shame these guys are still hangin on as owners.

Georgia Frontiere had the same thing happen in her in 1994 and I posted about how it came about back then. I believe the Raiders will be a hit in Vegas too, they are looking for a team and the Raiders will do just fine and the Owners will love it because it will remove some of the gang association away from the Raiders and that is why they did not want the Raiders in Los Angeles.

The NFL will embrace Las Vegas in so many ways and there will be multiple Super Bowls in their future. Funny the best scenario Davis was hoping for in Oakland was a 50,000 capacity Stadium, but now they will get a spanking new venue with 65,000 in the heart of Las Vegas with plenty of hotels for visitors and many will show up although pressure eventually will be on them to win.

Makes sense that the Raiders showing is below sub-par. But yeah I am not gonna hate especially against a AFC team... I like Gruden, but I think he will turn things around.

Dont hold your breath Gruden will have a good team.He never impressed me when he was with the Raiders. It was Gannon that made him look good.Gannon turned the franchise around not Gruden,Grden never had a winning season in Oakland till he got Gannon and everyone knows he won the superbowl with Tony Dungys players wit DUNGYS team that he built. That is why I am not surprised in the least they are as horrible as they are.

thats the key thing many here are overlooking about the Raiders in vegas,VISITORS. They will have the same problem there the chargers are in LA.The Raiders will ALSO have sixteen road games a year because it will only be VISITORS of opposing fans that show up. That is what happened this past year with the hockey team with the crowds being neautral at best.

Vegas doesnt even support their own college football team, they have small turnouts all the time and the ticket prices will gouge the residents out the mouth there. Vegas is the most poor city in the country, they wont be able to afford season tickets, most familys have to work two jobs to make a living out there. If they are the joke of the league the raiders have been in oakland ever since 2003,that place WILL be a ghosttown I GUARANTEE. They will never have loyal dedicated fans like oakland does to support them when they are losing.

Vegas fans are excited about it UNTIL the find out how expensive season tickets are out there and many of the other problems the vegas deal has. if you dont think this vegas deal has MULTIPLE problems with it,you simply have not done your homework. The vegas football fans out there they always go from excitement of it until they hear the facts of all the problems involved with it and how expensive the seats are and they quickly change their minds about it.

does anybody here even realise that the same experts who tried to tell the NFL the chargers deal in carson was a horrible one are ALSO saying the same thing about vegas? yeah i did not think so.:D

When a new owner takes over that could change, but that will never change as long as mr idiot remains owner.

I keep saying over and over again when the Raiders go into vegas in a couple years playing as crappy as they have, they will have the SAME exact problem the Chargers are in carson.empty seats everywhere.LOL they will NOT be loyal and dedicated like the OAKLAND fans when they see the start of losing.this is what they will get everytime GUARANTEED.

i said this would happen just as it is right now.:rolllaugh:

Business seems slow at Raiders stores in Las Vegas after 1-5 start

Dude. Did Mark Davis touch you inappropriately when you were a kid or something? The way you are pullin for them to fail it's like you're suffering flashbacks to that bowl cut with the evil pumpkin grin and all.

Vegas is used to being discounted by fans abroad, as a sports destination. MLS even turned their nose up at the city when they had a pre-approved stadium ready to go. Thankfully the NHL was smarter than that.

I know firsthand how traumatic it is to have something that is near and dear to you taken away from you so my heart goes out to all the SD and oakland fans to lose what belongs to them because some A hole is selfish and greedy and has no loyalty to the people that cheered them on and supported them through thick and thin and in the NO FAN LOYALTY LEAGUE hense WHY i love it spanos is failing in LA and why they are turned off now in vegas by the losing.LOL

With the Raider fan presence in LA, I gotta think there will be a fair amount of fans willing to make some Vegas trips and take in a game. I think early on attendance will be good. The Raiders have a chance to build something good with the extra picks. They just have to not screw it up. If they don't hit on enough picks and continue to lose, support will erode like most teams. Time will tell.

Not sure if he turns it around, but the same things were said about Vermeil leading to a revolt. In one of the only things that John Shaw did right in his 30 years with the Rams was convince Vermeil to change his ways and to hire Mike Martz as OC, Vermeil wanted to go internal with Mike White, but Shaw was able to convince Vermeil they needed to go outside for the OC hire.
