Let’s say you have the ability to “remove a team from the NFCW race”... the ability to knock out a team so they become a non-factor...

Which team do you get out of our way?

For me, I throw the hex on Seattle and get them out of the race. Take our chances against the 49’ers and Cardinals.

The 49’ers on paper appear a tough team, but I’ll bank over the course of 17 games Jimmy G goes down. Regardless the backup who steps in, they lose some games if Jimmy G goes down.

The Cardinals won the off-season. Or at least they won free agency in the NFC west. But, until the Cardinals put something together I’ll take our chances against them.

So... I eliminate Seattle.

Three horse race; Rams, 49’ers, Cards. We win that race.

You?

Arizona - Kingsbury is still largely unproven as a head coach. He's got a solid team of veterans, but can he deliver? Or will he be fighting to keep his job at the end of the season? My money is on the latter.

We don’t lose to the Cardinals...ever Under McVay. We beat Seattle more often than not, but it’s Frisco that kills us. I take those bastids out with concrete shoes and dump them off Alcatraz...

So...the 9'ers own us two years in a row and they aren't necessarily the threat? Shanny out coaches McVay every game (except in 19 in the second game we almost won) even when the 9'ers lose in 17 and 18 but we don't fear him most with a healthy team? Of the three, they are the most recent to go to the Super Bowl but some don't pick them for elimination?

CGI, I'm guessing some didn't read you subsequent post to understand the vote is for the team most likely to ruin our season.

I've got to pick the 49ers. Seattle is a strong team with a good d line, QB, and receiving corps, but I think the Rams give Carroll fits from time to time. They will be more predictable now that they have an ex Ram as an offensive coordinator.

It's like Shannahan knows what we are going to do sometimes. They we hurting last year and they still found a way to beat us. We are going to win the West, but if you took the 49ers out, it would be easier.

It's almost always entertaining watching the Rams chase around and rag doll the Oompa Loompa and AZ needs to earn their way to the choice. I'm taking the whiners out and with prejudice.

Its gotta be Arizona. When it come to the Cards, I'll believe it when I see it. They're no longer the media darlings they once were. The media realizes they aren't who they thought they were.

Although things could fall apart quickly for the 49ers. Its obvious Shanahan doesn't trust Jimmy GQ. You can see it in the play calling. Similar to when McVay lost trust in Goff. Lance isn't ready to be a starter on a playoff contender.

But if Shanahan's lack of trust in JG results in a sluggish offense, there will be pressure to put Lance in too soon. That is how it could fall apart for the 49ers. Plus, they lost their defensive coordinator. That could affect the defense. Face it, Saleh had our number.

Seattle will always be in the running as long as they have Russell Wilson. He's still the best quarterback in the division until proven otherwise. But I do see Stafford making a run at that title.

We lost to the Niners with Nick Mullens at QB. Jimmy G or Lance would be upgrades over him...

SF is built to beat us with strong lines. So they're probably our biggest threat. But that said I want to see the Rams beat that ass this year and I think the upgrades the Rams have made will allow that to happen.

So I'd remove Arizona and get down to business watching us take this division by force.

49ers, they're the only ones we can't fucking beat for some gd reason.

I'm not worried about any of these losers in the regular season or even winning the West, I expect us to take care of business and be ready for dance regardless of who wins the division (we'll of course be in it and I think we should be favourites to win though), so there's only one team I want to guarantee we don't have to deal with in a playoff game, and that's the 49ers.
