The reason why Tutu isn't used more is because Mcvay knows Stafford does not have the time to wait for him to get down the field. He'll get sacked 9 times out of 10. JMO
I ever-so-politely disagree.
McVay doesn't "know" this, because about 1/2 of the TOTAL ATTEMPTS (with this depleted OL) were successful for an average of about 60 yards each. He may "think" it, he certainly doesn't "know" it.
McVay also may "think" that he can only run deep, but his college tape shows he can be successful on most if not all routes. Especially curls taking advantage of the cushion DBs give him. Think the Raheed scheme against Tutu, eating up 10-15 yards at a time on the sidelines.
McVay also may "think" he's too brittle. Again, why not test it out? He's a football player and everyone should have known this risk going into the draft.
So again, I'm completely perplexed by this.
