I am posting this video as a reference for this particular thread.

Goff is ranked 22 in the NFL.

They didn't mention a thing about it on the Mcafee show but then go on to complain about Garoppolo being ranked 18.

Goff may have shown some struggles last year but no one was succeeding behind that offensive line - at least until Mcvay decided to start using 12 personnel more.

Goff also missed out on what I think is 6 touchdowns (don't quote me on that ) because the receiver was tackled at the 1 yard line.

If anything? Goff should be top fifteen, while Garappolo should be ranked in the twenties. Garappolo is not a quarterback who is good enough to win you a Super Bowl; Goff is. Goff threw for over 4,500 yards last year alone. The touchdowns were down from the years prior and interceptions up, yes, but no quarterback was going to succeed behind a patchwork offensive line and a lackluster running game.

I figure that it's cool by national standards to hate on Goff and the Rams. We'll just prove them wrong, kick the asses of any team in front of us, and claim a much-deserved Super Bowl championship.

Opinions vary but Goff is better than #22 he's just not flashy imo. But when it comes to arm talent id put him up there with the best. Purely my opinion but i think the whiners win the superbowl if they had Goff instead of Garopolo who is overrated.

7 was the number I heard. And it makes sense - our run game was bottom five in efficiency but top 5 in TDs. Truth is, Gurley was even worse than his stats last year and Goff was better. Had he thrown 29 TDs and 16 INTs people would view him differently even though everything else would have been the same

Idk about this particular piece (I'm not going to watch it; I prefer reading) but I read an article recently where Goff was rated 22 and this analysis, based on everyone else's comments, sounds very similar. In that article they referenced different QB's prior seasons or said that despite poor showings last year they thought the QB could be better. The only comment about Goff was that he's overrated. Of they were solely going off of 2019, I could understand but not necessarily agree with a 22 ranking. But they clearly weren't doing that on that particular article (which again I think had a significant overlap with this video in their Venn diagram circles).

Sadly he won't get the respect he deserves until he wins a SB and knowing the talking heads probably not even then

Murray still has to prove himself
Wentz better than Goff? Barely better than Jimmy G
Stafford just no
Jackson maybe
Mahomes, Watson, Wilson and Rodgers all proven commodities
anyone else is just about which uniform they are wearing

Let the haters hate. If Jared plays the way we know he can, he'll quiet them down.

I don't put a lot of faith in these rating systems. It makes for good fodder for videos like this. Goff had a down year but, has been a better than #22 Qb in the NFL.

Something was off with Goff last year. He looked confused many times while looking for a target. I thought in the past he scanned the field and found an open target more often than not. I don't know if defenses caught up to the McVay system/routes or defenses simply confused Goff. Goff also made some really bad decisions/throws It's obviously it's not all bad with Jared Goff as he made some great throws as he has in the previous years. Moving forward I expect a big bounce-back year from Goff. He will have an OC that will also be his QB coach that he didn't have last year. He worked on his foot speed, leg strength in the offseason and is working on his pocket mobility. He will be more consistent with his mechanics and give himself more chances to succeed with his improved movement skills.

It's a team game. That's what happens when you let your O-line fall apart.

Top offense 2 years straight and youngest NFC QB to lead his team to a Super Bowl.

Last year 2nd in the NFL in passing yards with the worst O-line.

Franchise QB, top 5 in the NFL, but he needs an O-line as anyone can see.

The fans in the stands are brutal when he makes a mistake. I just shake my head. Too much beer talking. All I know is I was at the Vikings game and the epic Chiefs game at the Coli. That's all I'll ever need to know. I saw with my own eyes. He's pretty damn great. He's never injured. He never talks crap about other players on the team. Doesn't talk crap about other teams before a game. I'm pretty happy with him. Best QB since Bulger. Hey, how many 4600+ yard seasons has Goff had? Two. How many 4600+ yard seasons has some guy named Aaron Rodgers had? One. Just saying! :) Goff get a better handle on the interceptions to TD ratio, look out! He will be the media darling.

Goff doesn’t close his eyes when he throws the ball like garapolo. It was really evident in the rams/sf game but I was laughing when he was doing it in the super b point bowl.

My niner fan friend said I would do the same if I was going to get clobbered and I said I don’t get paid tens of millions of dollars to throw a football accurately.
