I believe so, yes, but how high of a pick will depend on what we do to replace him, and how big of a contract he signs.

The compensation is also based on performance. That is, how much did the Rams lose in performance with Jackson's departure. I'm fairly sure that's a 1-to-1 comparison; what does Jackson do this season compared to last season. Otherwise you get into all kinds of variables like injuries, personnel improvement or lack of and such.

How else do you explain NE getting a 3rd round comp pick a few years ago when they didn't really have a drop off in wins?

Even if Jackson leaves, I'll root for him to do well just so we get a good comp pick.
