This next game has the makings for an old school defensive brawl. The Rams defense is really hitting its stride. Guys like Tru are in midseason form. The defense is causing turnovers, things are really coming together on that side of the ball.

Next up is Buffalo. A team that just shut the Patriots out. A team that spanked Cards. The Bills have an excellent defense, with a very good OLine and a running QB. I think this one is much tougher than I originally thought it would be.

I hope the Bills emptied the tank against New England, and coupled with a long flight to L.A., that they are a bit worn out for their game against the Rams. The last time the Rams faced Rex, it didn't go as I had hoped.

Without looking at any stats or personnel, I magically declare that our Rams match up beautifully with the Bills!;)

Williams will have them ready to rock and roll at home on defense. Rams are better than most defenses at handling a scrambling QB, many years of exp doing it.

The big potential for mismatch is Boras vs Rex. Rex ain't much of a head coach, but as a DC he's damn near elite and their recent surge has seen him be intimately involved with the defense of that I am sure. How will Rob match up? It's a big one for him IMO. He's gonna have to have some new wrinkles that play off of what he expects Rex to do, and be ready to adjust.

Also, this might be the first game that teams say "hrm should we sell out to stop TG?" Gonna be interesting to see how it plays out.

As long as the Case-Quickie and Case-Kenny batteries continue to become more & more consistent, the Horns have a chance. If the Case long ball becomes consistent enough to ease the pressure on Todd, watch out for the Express! to start exploding down the tracks.

Case is actually getting better at exploiting the opportunities afforded by all the extracurricular attention focused on the Gurley Man. He may not have the big arm, but he is playing within his limitations and trying to place the ball where the D cannot make a play on it---that's what good game managers do. I just prefer that he slide more on his runs unless it's unavoidable in order to pick up a first or a score.

I hope The Mighty One is recovering well from his stinger and all the damn holding because I wanna see one of his sack party explosions next weekend. If Cooper and Spruce are gonna play next week, they better brace themselves for NFL-caliber hits---pre-season is over, and this is regular season intensity. Wouldn't mind seeing Higbee have a coming out party sometime soon.

Jared may have superior potential, but at least he can learn from Case how far a leader can extend himself when he is balling his heart out and, simultaneously, how the team automatically galvanizes their support & rallies around him. I honestly did not expect to be saying these things about Case, but it's fun to appreciate in retrospect. During the actual games, everything is so roller coaster-esque I am having real flashbacks to the old "Cardiac Kids" St. Louis Cardinals teams.

I was thinking the same thing, we're kind of taking on that role. I didn't watch much football then, but I sure my father and his friends getting intense during those games.

All i know is this now (especially after last nights game) ...this for me is a MUST WIN ..

Fish has always had our boys ready to rock against divisional teams and we are 2-1 on the division which people and by people i mean the media/talking heads hell even some of us were probably expecting that sort of record after after our first round of games against the division

our next nine games on the spin are all out of division plus that road trip to the greatest city on earth ..and im not kidding myself to think that we will win all 9 ( heck I'm not even sure we will beat the bills ) but whilst im enjoying the winning and will until we stop this is the rams after all ...how many years have they teased us into optimism and heart break

we need to win out of division now more than ever this year..and it starts now ...get the boys ready to ball fish

we may not be the best team in the league..these aren't the GSOT rams..we arent the Steel Curtain or the monsters of the midway but gosh darn it this team is finding ways to win...so fish ..Case ..Tree .. You keep doing what ya doing boys and bring home a W

It still bothers me that the Rams gave up 420 yards to the Cards. I don't think that is the sign of a dominating defense. How often can you count on that many turnovers? Yes, they made splash plays, but they gave up a lot of plays, also.

Great win. Just wondering about sustainability.

We have a bend but don't break defense and that's exactly what happened IMHO. We gave up several long drives that ended up as turnovers or field goals, it's part of the plan.

Play the Bills the exact same way we play Seattle, stop the run and contain the QB. Sammy Watkins there #1 WR will be out. If we play good defense and the offense continues to find ways to score we should win this game.

With the Rams second home game, the biggest intangible factor that will give them the impetus to face a resurgent Buffalo team is the LA Rams fans at the Coliseum.

LA Ram fans will show up and will give a deafening roar of support for the Rams just like the loud roar of victory against the Seahawks.

With the LA Rams fans behind them, as mentioned previously, the Rams need to play every game like its their playoff game because this is a honeymoon period where they must win all their home games.

Besides, Stan is watching on the field.

It should be a much better game than I originally thought when I looked at the Schedule at the beginning of the Season! But I'll still be betting on the Rams, at Home, after a Great Road Trip, in front of 90000+ Fans!!(y)(y):D:snicker::shades::cheers:

Terrel Pryor scares me. The only mobile qb, that we ever contain as of late Is Russell Wilson. Their Own line Is pretty good. I can see him having a good day on the ground

Both Buffalo and the Rams are coming off of huge divisional wins. Either team could be in for a let down - lets hope its them.

I'd like to see Incognito get tossed out of the game in the first quarter. Goodwin has wheels but he doesn't like to take a hit - make him feel the safeties bearing down on him and don't let him get behind you. Tyrod can throw it deep.

Woods is pretty good out there at WR - he is less likely to beat you deep but he can move the chains when they call his number.

And of course, McCoy is job #1 for the D. Contain him and we will probably be alright.

The D in Buffalo is generally pretty stout - I know that the Jets beat up on them pretty good but they have tightened things up since that game.

Marcel Dareus is back for the Bills this week - and he is pretty good. Hopefully he takes a bit of adjusting and spent his suspension eating donuts.

As always - get Gurley going - get Tavon going - and don't be afraid to push it down field with Quick, Britt, and Lance.

If both teams play their best ball, the Rams should win this one - which scares me quite a bit.

Not just a scrambling qb this week. Taylor can run. He is faster than Wilson I bet. I recall Kaepernick hurting the Rams with his long strides. I hope the team adjusts from the statuesque Palmer.

Wouldn't mind seeing Higbee have a coming out party sometime soon.

Why? Kendricks is playing well.

We play that way but it's not showing in the results. We're 24th in red zone defense.

As always - get Gurley going - get Tavon going

It seems pretty clear what they're doing with these two is not working. Unfortunately, it usually takes Fisher 2-3 games too many to make changes.

I'd like to see Boras get a little more creative with running the ball. If we know that teams are going to constantly put 8 in the box (Buffalo included), then we need to incorporate more screens, jet sweeps and mis-direction plays. I honestly don't believe that teams are remotely afraid of Quick and Britt; which leads me to believe that opposing defenses are going to continue to follow each other as far as schemes go. Gurley is obviously the focal point of our offense and everyone knows it.

I'm going to go back and watch the game again, but the OLine seemed to have its hands full with a DLine that is very good. However, they did enough and remained physical to not get continually whipped. GRob got jipped on the holding call, and he tried to get back behind the LOS on the other play when he got penalized for being downfield... I'm not disappointed with his penalties, but they are still unacceptable.

The defense was tired late, but still remained very physical. That same physically will need to be in place this upcoming weekend and I'm confident it will.

Overall, Buffalo will be a tough task in my mind. Execution will clearly be the most important thing and winning at the LOS will determine the outcome.
