For tying the great Jim Brown for most Td's scored in the first 7 games of a season(14). It's a great time to be a Rams fan and we wouldn't be 7-0 without him!!

*Edit: Jim Brown owns the record with 15, Gurley tied for 2nd most with Holmes with 14.

You are right, so many tweets and people were saying he tied the record, but they were talking about in the modern SB era. wish they;d just include all time. Still awesome I agree.

He sure has a nose for the end zone.

You might as well just get out of his way really.

I would be not surprised if he scored touchdowns in every game the rest of this season and that includes the Super Bowl.

Todd Gurley is gonna go down as the greatest Ram running back ever

The ONLY complaint I have of Gurley(and it’s not his fault), is that he doesn’t break long runs anymore. He’s had 1 40+ yard run since 2015. It’s mostly because the defense plays the pass so deep that he can’t get past the secondary. The one year Marshall Faulk won MVP his longest run all year was 36 yards. But I still think it’s an important aspect of his game that we need down the line.

Every week I watch Ram's games with a neutral fan and I jokingly say 'better than Marshall Faulk, man' after every TG TD.

Not sure if I'm joking anymore

Gurley and Faulk are different cats.

Gurley is a fast, powerful runner who needs a hole, but even a small one and he's going to make you pay.

Faulk was more like Barry Sanders, a guy who could make cuts so sharp, they left slashes on the defense's uniforms like Zorro.

Gurley is MUCH faster than Faulk was in his prime.

Faulk had much more short area quickness and change of direction.

Faulk may have been a slightly better receiver. I say slightly because I still think people underestimate how good Gurley is as a receiver.

Also, Gurley is better in pass pro. As smart as Faulk was, Gurley stonewalls blitzers and dawgs like no one the Rams have ever had.

The better comparison is Dickerson and I like Gurley more because Gurley is a more complete back.

Granted, times have changed and RBs weren't really expected to catch passes as well as John Robinson could actually run that Student Body Right offense and win in the NFL, but Gurley is slightly faster and a bit more creative than Dickerson was.

As a side note, it's kinda crazy to think someone as big as Gurley is slightly faster than Dickerson. I think. Pretty sure.

That said, those 2103 yards are the benchmark.

I agree with everything but.........

Also, Gurley is better in pass pro.

I think they are equal, and that's saying a lot because Faulk was a great blocker and could make a blitz disappear yards away from Warner or Bulger.

The better comparison is Dickerson

I think Faulk is still a better comparison. But as a runner the three are different enough that it's a hard thing to measure/compare.
