I'm gonna upgrade my internet package and they promise to double my current speeds.
So, yeah. We'll see.

Laptop I have 44 ping, 10.34 Mbps download and .94 Mbps upload

Desktop I get 12 ping 24.68 Mbps download and .97 Mbps upload


I'm supposed to be getting near 50 though. I may be changing when I move to a new apartment. I want to get fiber optics, but they don't offer it in my area for whatever stupid reason.

That sounds like a comcast promise. They said the same thing to me, and then when I said they were full of shit, they clarified by saying ... "We said UP to 50 mbps." To which I said, "No, that's NOT what you said when you pitched it to me." And so on and so on. I don't need to bore anyone with our argument.

Mine is consistent if nothing else... almost the exact same result as that last test. And... I'm on a 40mb plan... so I guess I'm getting what I paid for.

I just signed up for their "boost" program. It's like $8 more a month (Comcast).
Tell ya the truth, I don't really notice much difference.
