There were some pluses this game. One of them was they decided to finally let TA play football. His 12 touches was double his average this season and more than double of last season while being 33% more than his most in any other game this season.
They weren't very imaginative with him with the passing plays, which hurt his receiving stats, but he once again has proven himself as a solid running option and an all around weapon.
He more than doubled TGs YPC at 8.3 YPC to 3.7 YPC. He also had the longest run of the game at 22 yards.
I don't know who else noticed, but they nixed him in the long ball plays and used Britt to good success. Britt was able to defend poor passes where TA probably would have been intercepted. Britt also had a nice completion on a contested ball that TA would have been swallowed up on.
If they can be more original and accurate in the short passes to TA, and they continue to use him this much, he could have a stellar 2nd half of the season to top his really good start.
