I've notice the man Stedman Bailey gets his name really thrown around a lot. I guess many fans believe the WVU connection is ready to take off....My question is this...In a game of 30 throws...use 40 pass attempts if you need them...but how many TARGETS would you like Sted to have in Sunday's game? And how would you break them down...

Here's how I'd do it:
targets
Quick - 8- 10
Cook - 7- 8
Austin - 5 - 7
Britt - 4 - 6
Bailey - 4- 5
Gurley - 2 - 3
Mason - 0 - 1

target
totals = 30 | 40

Mine is give Britt cook's number, give Cook Gurley numbers, and increase the throws to Bailey and Austin.

Cook with more targets than Austin or Bailey? Man, I sure hope you're dead wrong.

Cook has 28 targets in this season....Austin 25, Sted 17....The guy appears to me to be OPEN....why would we keep throwing to or targeting guys that may be covered?

Cook get targeted because like Fisher says, he SHOULD be the focal point of our offense, even if he's terrible at doing his job, that doesn't mean he's the only one getting open. We both know full well that targets=/=only person open. It all comes down to who Foles finds and who he throws to, he's supposedly has a rapport with Cook and that's why he tries to throw to him the most, so far Cook hasn't earned that right.

But Bailey definitely isn't not just sitting there doing nothing, as Jrry so kindly put together in a thread prior. http://www.ramsondemand.com/threads...ting-no-playing-time.40393/page-3#post-637096

Lots of plays are being left on the field, which isn't all on Cook, but until he improves his play and stops dropping passes when we need him to catch them, and otherwise hurting the team nobody is going to want him getting targets and that's nobody's fault but his own.

I'm going with Quick.
It's time to get him back on track. He was proving to be our best Wr last year before the injury.

I really want to give all Cooks passes to Gurley. Can I do that?

I chose Quick, mainly because I want him in there for his run blocking.I'd also try to get Britt's head in the game from the start with some early targets. Keep him engaged.

Wow. If we throw the ball 40 times something is wrong.

That said. I pick Bailey just because he should be in there in the slot over Cook.

I said Austin because PA should be a big weapon this weekend but must admit, I was looking for the 'whoever can actually coach the football' option.

The threads question should probably be worded " Who should get more Targets?" Rather than "Who Deserves more Targets?" Just thinking out loud!:confused::D

More than half of Cleveland's passing yardage allowed came after the catch. That stat should dictate who gets the targets. Get the ball to a receiver in space and let him run. Seems to me, that calls for RBs, TEs, and Austin.

I do think believe that having both TA & SB on the field at the same time is a known producer in effective big plays. Its almost magical. I voted Stedman Bailey myself.

Meh, 70+ plays....Play action working...I could see close to 40 pass plays....no matter what Fish says we want to be...I'd bet we've passed more than ran at this moment....especially if the Browns stack the box as expected and dare Foles to beat them...

you say "toe-MAY-toe" & I say "toe-MA-toe"...it's all the same and tastes great grilled or on a hamburger....

I'm a lil surprised that Tavon is running away with this...
5 targets...is not the only way Tavon would touch the rock...Besides returns, I'd like 3-4 fly sweeps & straight hand-offs...so 8-9 total...the reason I say this...the guy averages 3.1 passes per game...he catches 3 passes a game...I'd like to see him catch 5 a game...and I'm sure Cig would too....the question, does Foles wanna see this...what exactly is he seeing?

Clearly, Gurley and Austin have been the biggest playmakers this year so I would like them to get their of passes. I think Bailey, Britt, and Quick fall into the next group of potential playmakers. If Cook and Kendricks don't get another pass thrown their way this year I won't be upset. I would rather Cunningham get the remaining targets.

Bonifay nailed it. TA and SB on the field at the same time increases chances of something good happening.
Oh, and THANK YOU to CGI_Ram for the avatar. It's a beaut!
