That Ebukam has some saying Dante who, after the game he had tonight. He looked like the second coming of Lawrence Taylor.

Like I said in the other thread. I think this is partly because of Fowler. They have to pay more attention to him than other guys freeing up Ebukam to make plays

Rams post game radio show, the guys on the show were going over the Rams draft picks and absolutely marveling over where the Rams drafted this guy. An absolute grand slam out of the park pick by the Rams. That entire draft is looking like the Rams crushed it, maybe the best Rams draft ever for the lack of picks and late picks.
Just for fun, here is the draft grade review given to the Rams for selecting Samson:
Eastern Washington OLB Samson Ebukam, Pick No. 125 overall (Round 4)
Well I thought at the time, the Johnson pick was the biggest reach. Then, roughly 15 hours later, this happened. Let's be clear, Ebukam is an athletic freak. His testing numbers are in the 96th percentile for OLBs. He's faster than every OLB that was in the draft, and one of the most explosive players overall. However, he's terribly raw. Admittedly, I didn't even scout him pre-draft. This was part of the reason I am just now posting grades. I had to go back and watch some tape on the kid before I damned the pick to hell. After watching four games, I reached this conclusion, he should have been a sixth round pick, I could maybe be ok with the fifth even, but not the fourth.

There’s a reason anyone didn't watch Eastern Washington football had never heard of him. Most of everyone did not watch EWU but when the January 2017 rolled around everyone knew who Kupp was. Ebukam wasn't a bad player, he was a solid pass rusher. He also has a lot of experience playing with his hand in the dirt and in space as he was truly used as a hybrid DE/LB. The potential is there. But he needs to get a lot stronger. He spent way too much time on the ground getting bullied by offensive linemen often. The linemen are only harder to get by at this level. I like his motor and effort, but this was arguably the biggest reach of the entire draft, especially when you consider they traded up for him.

Grade: C-

What an awesome young dude...
After this game tonight, forget giving him his own thread, he deserves his own forum.

Me too, last night was the first time I think I finally started pronouncing his name right. After a game like that you better get it right.

Couple thoughts...
- Having Fowler gives him a bit more room to operate
- Might be a late bloomer. He mentioned "playing fast" which suggests he's been having to think through things vs just reacting and making plays naturally

Time will tell if this was a one-game miracle or if in fact the game is slowing down for him and he can put his ability to good use long term.

The play that he hit Mahomes, and Peters made the interception, was an amazing play by Ebu. What what he does to the guy trying to block him.

If someone projected two weeks ago that we would beat the Chiefs Monday night, and that our young second year player from Eastern Washington would be the key to victory and score 2 touchdowns, we all would have believed it...….. (n)……

sort of...

Up until last night I thought Ebukam was under achieving considering I felt he had an excellent rookie year considering his experience\expectations. I foresee Littleton and Samson being long term productive line backers for this team.

That interception was the play of the night and that's saying a lot! The fumble recovery was sick too considering how slippery it was prior to SE scooping it up and charging. Usually that attempt falls flat, falling on it is always encouraged but our man was on a mission! To recover that ball on your feet full steam ahead requires divine focus.

Talib returning is huge because these kids need in your face motivation and Aqib is the man for the job. Our defensive appears to be filled with mostly introverted monsters. The Rams defense will rally behind Aqib Talib!

Tell that to every talking head who tried to say it today, and Witten was just brutal, seemed like he tried like 3 times and still couldn’t get it.

I think them mispronouncing it all the time was what was making it hard for me to get it right.
