Rams head coach Sean McVay stated during his Monday press conference on September 28, 2026, that tight end Terrance Ferguson sustained a medial ankle sprain during the Week 3 game against the Denver Broncos. [1, 2]High ankle?
Higs is the better TE , But not better (H-Back) long ball type threat. 2 Different animals.Silver lining is Higbee is better than Fergs. Keeping Higs healthy will be the real trick.
Nah i disagree. Fergs has a bit more speed to get deep quicker than Higs, but in terms of hands, body control…nope. Fergs hasn’t passed the eye test for me yet. Shallow or deep.Higs is the better TE , But not better (H-Back) long ball type threat
Dan Villari time?Maj o disagree. Fergs has a bit more speed to get deep quicker than Higs, but in terms of hands, body control…nope. Fergs hasn’t passed the eye test for me yet. Shallow or deep.
It'll be real interesting how McV deploys the TE’s with Fergs out. Parks needs to get healthy quick.
Yet every year we see some young TEs outperforming our young TEs and some of them have been quite excellent early.Someone on this board once said TEs take a few seasons to develop into an Elite player. Ferg still gots time, but lets start developing our other options and get them up to speed. Simple.
Of COURSE the 2026 Rams would be better had we drafted Sadiq or ANYONE really over Simpson. This is well known. Thats not the argument.I saw every snap of Ferguson in college. Stafford has missed him as much as Ferg has mishandled passes. He'll be a very good weapon going forward. If they had taken Sadiq in the first, then an OT in the second, we'd be much better off TODAY. Worry about the QB when you have to. Sorry, didn't mean to dredge up draft arguments from last year.
I'm trying to remember when a rookie got any meaningful snaps under McVay.Klare talk in the week 4 thread and now here!
When will he get some snaps? I guess they have to start soon with a handful and see how he does. He showed good hands in preseason. He was getting reps as the inline blocker. I think they would need to start him more like Ferguson as the move TE.
Guess you forgot Puka, Avila, Young, Speights unless that's not recent enough for youI'm trying to remember when a rookie got any meaningful snaps under McVay.
Maybe I'm wrong but I can't remember any.
Good point. They say memory is the first thing to go.Guess you forgot Puka, Avila, Young, Speights unless that's not recent enough for you

Those fast starters are out there and the Rams have drafted a TE in the 2nd round THREE times in the McVay era. They just haven’t picked one of those TEs who come in shining.
…maybe Klare can step up and begin a great career tomorrow.
It's well known that McVay requires a lot from his TEs. Blocking, proper spacing, and complicated play calling. It takes time to learn everything. Here is a quote from McVay about getting Klare reps in practice and some PT. He had some good reps in preseason and is getting more in practice. He needs to step in and up because of the injuries. He can take some of the load off the others and be more prepared should another injury occur.I'm trying to remember when a rookie got any meaningful snaps under McVay.

Park his ass underneath and across the middle for Stafford to have a dumpoff option. Maybe that will help settle 9 down.Klare talk in the week 4 thread and now here!
