For the first time in the decade, Buck & Aikman will be commentating for us. The last time these two commentated for us was in 2008 against the New York Giants, week 2 (coincidentally) when Holt was playing his last year with us, Bulger was still under center, and Linehan was our HC.

My thoughts: I was critical of Buck's commentary back then for being lackluster in showing any emotions. Many fans still despise him for that disgusting act by Randy Moss years back as well as the lack of passion for commentating the 2008 Super Bowl, especially during that Tyree catch. Fast forward to 2010, he was on the verge of losing his job as a commentator. Since getting help, he's improved exponentially and I believe his commentary in recent years does an excellent job representing primetime football on FOX; there's been more passion in his tone when big plays occur and I definitely can appreciate improvement from someone who's been rather monotone before. Haven't made much observations on Aikman but I would say his color commentary is good too, keeping the Cowboy homer to a dull roar.

If I recall also, he also burned Stan K hard prior to moving to LA, I look forward to hearing those angry rants; if you're going to talk about this subtopic, please do not derail this into an LA vs StL thread, feel free to lock this topic mods if it gets out of hand. Other than that, your thoughts, comments, favorite NFL commentators?

Well it's a step up from the d-bags we had last game. But interesting they are putting their top team on this game just because of it being the first game in LA. Will be embarrassing if all they have to talk about is our horizontal passing attack and zero points like last week. As for Buck, I like him and I like his passion for his hometown. He's probably unable to speak openly about it during the broadcast so I doubt there will be any controversy but it's kind of ironic he got put on this game because I'm sure he'd love to say a few things. Hopefully they have a game worth talking about so they don't have to tip toe around other stuff.

The best part about this is that they're showing it on free to air tv here. Yes. Take that nfl for not renewing my game pass. Two games in and i haven't needed it at all.

Now time to watch the rebound game.

If he starts on any Kroenke or Rams rants, he should be punished by the network. Announcers are SUPPOSED to be impartial, ESPECIALLY at his national level.

Isn't there a Cowboys game they could be blowing each other over instead?

They didn't renew your game pass? Why?

One time I was double charged and I canceled, and then they wouldn't renew, and it became a 'thing'. I called and they allowed me to use my 'old account'....which, thankfully, I remembered the password and I was restored with them by clicking 'renew'.....

I have always liked the little Buck boy...monotone or not, who cares about his lacking tone-raising, that is why they have a color guy. I don't emotion for anything, that is what we have players for.....I know, it does help with the announcer raises the pitch on some surprise plays....but I don't need that often.

Because here in australia they are only offering the full season package now which includes the playoff games. Before we could just get the regular season package. We don't need the playoffs because we can watch them on fta tv.

So i got an email from them in July telling me of the changes. They said for this season only they would renew my subscription for my old price but give me the new package. But they never did renew it and I'm not gonna pay $100 extra to watch games i can watch in hd for free.

They're gonna lose alot of customers with their new pricing.

For the first time I really enjoyed the commentating during a rams-seahawks game, cause in the past they always explained to the audience that the seahawks were not playing up to their standards and that's why the rams we're able to beat them. This time I feel they really emphasized how we have made the seahawks suffer troughout the years and that the result of this game should be no surprise. (y)

It was cool hearing that Aikman was a Ram fan growing up. He rattled off a good list of our old favorite Rams. First time I've ever had a reason to like that cowgirl.

I thought they were great. Fans hate them for some reason but you could almost listen to them in the other room and still know exactly what's going on. It was nice to hear how they weren't surprised we were doing what we did to them.

I thought they sucked...

Extremely biased to Seattle the whole game.

Midway thru 3rd they stated the Rams had to clean up the penalties(which they do) if they wanted to be a winning football team. Then a stat popped up on screen that showed Seattle with 2 more penalties.

At the end of the game, Buck stated that Bennett "got a hand in the face of a Rams player" , but refused to say he threw a punch

I was expecting a game full of pot shots by Buck and Aikman co-signing his nonsense
Then....
PLOT TWIST
Dun dun dun...
Aikman comes out with the "I was a Rams fan growing up" and he shot down Buck at every turn
I thought Aikman was great and Buck was just stuck

Toy ( intentionally misspelled!) came across 99% unbiased, But he did let a little Cowboyish BS out every once in a while!(y);)

I thought they were fine. I didn't expect Buck to say much about the move other than some scripted lines and he did, it was very professional which is how it should be. There's a reason why he's on the national scale and beat writers are not.
