Brandon Staley completed his first two interviews of the offseason Sunday, one day after the Rams shut down Seattle.

If I were making a hiring decision, he'd be arguably my top choice. But yes, I hope he sticks around for another year.

Oh and btw the best way to hold onto your assistants is to go really deep in the playoffs. Lot of teams can't hold their water when it comes to waiting on interviews.

Good point. But I would think teams would still need to follow the availability guidelines so while this will be better than previous years some of the shitter owners like Spanos won't have the balls to wait it out and hope he can hire his guy. If by some miracle we end up say going all the way. So I think it's the best thing we can do right now.

If I am doing the hiring, I would want to see another season of repeated success. Especially since we are set to lose several pieces. If he comes back and replaces a handful of starters and duplicates or comes close to what we did on defense this year, he will be the hottest coach next year.

I just dont understand why they changed the rules. Had always been that you had to wait, but now guys are interviewing left and right.

Maybe or maybe after the Rams defeat the Saints or Bucs teams don’t want to wait until the Super Bowl is over because of the assistant pool being shallow
