The NY Post stirring shit up

but....straight from the article...

“We plan on playing Super Bowl LVI as scheduled at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 13,” McCarthy said. “As part of our standard contingency planning process that we conduct for all regular and postseason games, we have contacted several clubs to inquire about stadium availability in the event we cannot play the Super Bowl as scheduled due to weather-related issues or unforeseen circumstances. Our planning process for the Super Bowl in Los Angeles is ahead of schedule and we look forward to hosting the Super Bowl there to culminate another fantastic NFL season for our fans and clubs.”

Right now, Los Angeles County does not have COVID-19 restrictions which would preclude the Super Bowl from being played in a full stadium. SoFi Stadium had over 70,000 fans for Chargers vs. Broncos this past week.

However, with cases escalating in the region amid the Omicron variant outbreak, it is unknown whether Los Angeles County and/or the state of California might revert to stricter early pandemic restrictions.

Nothing would surprise me with the Cali govt. And honestly if you're the NFL the smart call is being prepared to pivot if they get too restrictive.

Lol the NY Post is a rag.
Haha. Great publication but maybe you’re more of a USA TODAY or NBC guy?

Yeah - LARRY LARRY LARRY . Wonder what radio station would be saying that ? Yeah - ARNOLD ARNOLD

It’s all those Kelly Ernby’s of the world that suffer from our Freedoms. I just hope Ram Fans stay safe & are able to make it healthy to SOFI to watch The Rams win The SuperBowl.

We can all cheer for who we want, just sad people can help themselves no matter what there addictions are. I’ll keep politics out of it though.Just saying though.

Well that makes alot of sense to move the superbowl from the UNDISPUTED NUMBER ONE VENUE IN THE WORLD to ANYWHERE ELSE.

Stan didn't build the most expensive, by far, most beautiful, by far, and the most ammenity-filled, except for crappy food, sport arena in the solar system, to not have the rams beat the chiefs in the superbowl.

Wouldn't it be fun if the Rams beat the Chefs at SoFi, where not only they hoist the Lombardi, but THE ETERNAL Governor's CUP!

This is all just standard procedure. It's only a story because with COVID, people think it might be more likely.

But with the amount of time it would take to switch the venue - including the nightmare it would be for people who bought tickets - the switch would have to be decided weeks in advance.

And in weeks, wherever it's moved to could be the new COVID hotspot.

Not going to happen.

I wonder why this is a big deal. When I was a wee lad, I'd be concerned since I literally saw EVERY single meaningful game in Anaheim (and Dodger Stadium, the Forum, Staples Center too). Now, the prices of SB tickets are so extreme, I'm not even going -- and I'm a season ticket holder.

Much rather have a small crew at home with some BBQ/nachos/beer/etc and watch the Rams take it down.

The New York Post is toilet paper and a conspiracy rag to stir up shit that never existed.

Super Bowl at SoFi will still go on regardless of what that toilet paper rag says.

You realize other media outlets are reporting the same exact thing? Also ESPN was also reporting it today on the radio as well.

Let's keep the "fake news" comments to ourselves. Because I can't think of ONE 100% honest news publication out there at the moment.

Other media news outlet like what?

And ESPN is parroting this toilet paper rag called the New York Post just to stir up shit.

ESPN is becoming more irrelevant because they want clicks.

The NY Post made the story as though the Super Bowl is going to be moved away from SoFi when it’s only “exploration in case of contingencies”.

The tone of this NY Post narrative makes it as though the SB move from SoFi is a foregone conclusion and that is not fair to the Rams and Rams fans.
