DB guy....I'd say Talib...but no one will throw his way...he's a really good player...Peters takes risks....He's a lil looser in coverages...peeks....kinda like Jenoris...but a lil slower...Peter's will set his bait, and QB's will test him...then he'll make them pay....I expect 10+ int's outta this guy.

I would say Suh....but pass rushing is his 2nd best thing...dude is a run stuffer supreme...haven't seen his like in some time.

Cooks...and Goff need to "show me"...and I'm not from St. Louis....

Statistically it will likely be cooks since offensive numbers are flashier. But from an non statistically viewpoint I’d go with suh since he has an impact every single play he’s in, run or pass. Hard to make a “noticeable” impact as a corner if they run the ball or throw away from you

I am going to cheat. I think, at the beginning of the year, it's Aquib Talib. Then in six to seven games in, it's going to be Marcus Peters. In my opinion, Peters is going to learn a lot about the system and what is expected of him from Talib. By that time frame, he will be a playmaker assisted by all those guys up front.

I went with Peters. I thnk he's a huge upgrade over Tru in what it allows Wade to call on D. Now the Rams have a guy that matches up favorably with just about any #1 in the league. I think that takes a lot of pressure off of Wade to call perfect looks against certain offenses.

I dont like Suh, he is a fucking turd and a dirty player. But with him on the DL, I have to be objective, it's clearly going to be him. This was already a DL that fucked up game plans, and now added a player that is a really good compliment.

There are two players in front of a 3-4 that demand double teams. That leaves one player in the front of the 3-4 one on one. And four guys right behind them that can be moved all over.

The front 7 is going to be making a disaster out of game plans..........the secondary will get some of the fruits of that.

This team could get to the SB.

They all should be fairly even. Cooks will add that missing down field speed to really complete the offense with the maturation of the TEs. Cooks isn't limited to deep routes only. He will be used in smoke screens, short and intermediate routes. Rams now have two players in Gurley and Cooks that can create explosive plays on a regular basis.

With 3 DL taking on 5 OL - I want a can't miss Edge rusher that can clean up. I am not sure we have that at this point but I am optimistic someone will evolve into that role as the season progresses (e.g. Oko and/or Ebu). I may be greedy but I wouldn't mind an EDGE vet to add some early season firepower while the young 'uns warm up.

Stopping the run was an issue last year , its probably the reason this defense was rebuilt.

I know the secondary will be one of the top units in the league. But if they can stop the run , this team is going to be special.

Totally agree. However, this DL is going to make life WAAAAY easier on the young LB crew as you stated. I can see Littleton wreaking havoc through those gaps that will surely be there.

You nailed it on why Cooks is going to be so effective. He runs great routes all over the field. His top-end speed on deep routes scares the living daylights out of DBs in man coverage and in turn gets him wide-open looks on a lot of the middle of the field stuff. I think Goff is going to love throwing to him and I expect we'll see lots more mic'd up clips of McVay screaming about how amazing of a receiver Cooks is.

See I assumed it would go the other way. Talib's quality savvy coverage would lead to QBs throwing at Peters hoping he handle wrong too much. But with the veteran leadership and teaching from Taking, Peters makes the most of those situations and gets time of interceptions.

In a surprise, I am wondering if Kelly could be a big surprise giving the backfield a 2nd dynamic player? That could take heat off Gurley, making him tougher to deal with since teams may not be able to focus solely on him.

So if Kelly can step up he might be one of the biggest additions with not only adding a weapon, but keeping Gurley fresh.
