which is annoying as shit

However, wanted to point out that we have won the division 3 times in Mcvay's 5 years

Shanaclown has won 1 division title in 5 years.

Sometimes I think aliens sent McVay to us to make me crazy.

I think it psychologically messes with McVay to see his name up there on that banner in the stadium. Even when playing in LA, he feels some kind of obligation to the franchise for what it meant to his family.

But when playoffs roll around, he doesn't mind beating them...

Tonight their strength was our weakness. Our offensive line was cobbled together while they have a couple of pro bowlers in their front 7. Combine that with our lack of #2 receiver and the margin of error shrinks. The play of the game was when Stafford missed Higby inside the 10 because of rush. Higby catches that the game changes. But tonight they made the plays and we didn't.

But, wait... McVay arrived here in 2017, and you've been crazy since...

Oh, I get it...

They're time traveling aliens.

That makes perfect sense.
It's a developing theory.

That's pretty much the relationship between the teams though isn't it. Except for that glorious NFCCG. No idea how that happened but I'm gonna enjoy holding that one over those fucks for many years.

I love McVay and would not trade him for any other coach. But with the whiners, it seems like he's got this blind spot on how to handle them.

I mean if jackass Tart makes that pick in the 4th quarter in January.................... Who knows what would have happened. It's like the Rams had the good juju last season, which I'm so grateful for.

It didn't help that Morris continued to play his uber soft zone where the DBs stand like statures and only react after the ball is caught. By the time he moved away from it the game was basically lost. Morris has returned to his sucky ways. What happened to the days where they would use Ramsey to take away their best receiver? Morris made it way too easy for Jimmy G.

I also warned about the difference between a WR blocking and a true FB. That was on full display as well. Benny Sko missed a whole lot of blocks. On some he looked like he didn't know where the play was supposed to go. Benny Sko isn't a good #3WR because he doesn't threaten anyone.

Robinson isn't getting throws because his route running is trash. Half the time he doesn't act like he knows where he is going. There was more than one play where Stafford couldn't throw to him because he never turned around. He looks like he's just going through the motions.

They need to get McCutcheon ready for next week. He can play X WR. They need to get Harris ready because he has the speed to take the top off the secondary.

It was a gross mistake starting Evans. The Niners targeted him exactly like I predicted with stunts and other "games" where he got totally lost. Kolone obviously didn't know how to call protections. I expect Brewer to be at LG but the biggest problem is replacing Shelton if he can't go next week. They might have to do an extensive coaching session with Anchrum. Noteboom is clearly still playing hurt as his mobility is nowhere near where it is when he's healthy.

This OL is a mess because of injuries. Noteboom is playing hurt and the entire interior is backups. They will have to struggle through 2 more games before they can start getting people back during the bye.

Things I see repeatedly/consistently whenever we match up against these guys.

-they get hats on us when they’re on offense, they execute blocks

-we’re lucky to get 4-5 yards on 1st down, they have us very well scouted on 1st down it seems

-they’re always fired up for us, I don’t see the same from our guys.

-McVay and Shanny know each others playbooks stuff, but is Shanny in his own DC’s ear more often than McVay maybe? Is McVay too hands off in the defensive meetings during Niner week?

Stafford and company looked like the 2019-2020 Goffense tonight.

It'll be a quick turnaround anyway... All home games... Dallas, Carolina, the bye and then whiners again....
Can we hope for some home cooking?!??

Didn't we drop a easy pick too? I think it was Ramsey.

No one EVER in the history of the NFL has been able to show consistent pass protection four games in having to replace three starters and now we're down to our third string Center.

Like I've been harping on;

The offensive line is the most important unit on your team and we've been neglecting it and cobbling our o line together for a while now.

It's finally catching up with us in a bad way.

I just hope we can get it together before Stafford gets mauled anymore.

Re: the OL our starting 5 weren't much better than the depth players.

Shelton is a better center than Allen. Jackson is clearly our best RG option. If they can get Edwards back I think the starting 5 of Boom, Edwards, Shelton, Jackson, and Hav just need some live snaps together. They may end up better than last year's group.

What we saw is not acceptable level of play. Though some of that was the 9ers DC testing their comms with stunts and shit up front.

Which, btw, would be very risky for SF if the Rams had run game threat. When a run hits a stunt you can get some huge gainers on the ground.

So going forward the run game improving would be an easy way to get right on offense.

It makes me wonder about the evaluation process in determining our starters. Everything we've seen of Jackson since he was pressed into service indicates he should be on the field, and I agree that Shelton is better than Allen too.

Me too. My theory is that with McVay it's all about above the neck, which puts physicality at a lower level of priority in their thought process. Until they get their asses handed to them then the change gets made.

You know. When it was obvious they had our number, why not put qb 2 in there and let him run around etc. Some games are just toast for the rams.

I don't think so. Injuries have nothing to do with the Rams ignoring their Oline. And really they haven't been ignoring it. You said it yourself, we're down to our 3rd Center, 3rd guards, and our LT is hobbling around. Not to mention A Jackson looks like an absolute find for the Rams. Give it time for guys to get back, gel, and I promise the Rams will get back to what they do best. But it's gonna take until probably after the bye week to see some real results.
