Very little if any here in the Sierras. A few ski resorts are making snow but it’s not staying cold enough.

High Sierras (above Truckee CA) got 2 feet in early October.....not enough to worry about since.
That was at elevation though. No one really lives up there. None in town yet.

You know how it goes here.
Some years early, some years late.
Last year started strong then had nothing till past the first of the year, then a lot.
A slightly above average year last year.
My aching knee says another good pack this year.

That looks like a Thomas Kinkade painting

Speaking of Thomas Kinkade did you know he died of a Columbian snow overdose?
He went to my alma mater BTW
We pride ourselves in our overdosed alumni

It did get down to 48 degrees here last night. It'll be back in the 80's + by the end of the weekend though thank God!

Oh jeez you are worse than my girl. When if gets under 60 degrees she will wear a ski parka, no lie. It must be that Hawaiian upbringing in you that makes you adverse to the cold too!

One night I said to her "lets go down to the beach and kill a bottle of champagne", I usually keep an decent bottle or two in the fridge ready to go for sunsets. She said "well I don't have a jacket" and gave me a look like I farted at the dinner table.
