Anybody else notice what nbc was doing in the first half when the Rams had the ball? It was a split screen with McVay, Goff and the play clock. Don’t think they did it a lot but when I saw it I thought it was odd. Then I thought, are they trying to catch McVay hurriedly telling Goff what to do as the clock ticks down? It didn’t seem like McVay was really saying anything so it didn’t really work or maybe I’m just a conspiracy theorist.
It kinda made me laugh that this is never gonna go away.

Yeah, I saw it. And my immediate thought was "they're gonna talk about this shit some more?!?"

But yeah - the video showed McVay NOT saying anything into his headset and the play clock still hadn't reached 15 seconds.

The Rams have 2 more SNF games - I'm seriously hoping at least one of them gets flexed out. That's how much I hate the NBC/SNF crew and/or presentation.

The Anti-Rams slant by the SNF heads is so over the top... its just blatant.

The sports media hasn't been able to pin this team down with any easy narrative. I think that pisses then off the most. The Rams have made them work.... and made them look wrong and they are bitter.
Goff can QB, the wunderkind McVay can coach, there are no easy gimmicks to explain away our success.

The microscope he is under and the standards Goff is held to are rather absurd.
Lots of QBs go #1. How many of the others at his age are scrutinized so much? What Goff does well isnt flashy. He makes tough throws look effortless. He moves so good in the pocket but nobody acknowledges it. It's crazy. Some impressions are hard to change, espescially when there is a constant narrative doubling down on those impressions.

What people miss about Goff is how catchable a ball he throws. Sure, he can zing one in there, but I am constantly impressed, even with deep throws how he throws with touch.

If there's an heir apparent to Brady, it's Goff. It's not Pat "the next Fran Tarkenton" Mahomes. It's not Baker Mayfield. It's Goff.

NBC is driven by Chris Simms their QB expert. They absolutely want to show that Goff is like a puppet with McVay's hand up his @$$. Which to me has always been laughable. And even though my confidence in him is shaken a bit, I still think it's ridiculous, as it's just a way that they can erode Goff's statistics and that infuriates me.

I mean I have no problem with Rams fans discussing Goff's struggles. I know we love the kid and want him to do better. But when it's talking heads I just want to break out an effin battle axe.

Mahomes is a cool dude and I like his personality. He is his own style of QB and I would look at him being more like a non Int version of Favre then anyone else.

I can't get mad at a team that works hard and has success like the Chiefs and Patriots, but I can hate the Patriots for being the Patriots...... F#$@!% them!

I normally kinda like Collinsworth, but he seems to go back to the well every time he does a Rams game. The McVay feeding Goff the plays before the fifteen second mark is old news. We get it! Tell me something new!

I'm sure theyre going to flex in Week 15 vs Dallas of its not already primetime.

I turned the sound off shortly after halftime. I simply cannot abide that dude. I think he's the worst analyst in the game.

Chris and co are hacks. Chris loves the sound of his own voice, he did compliment the Rams multiple times last night but he was more focused on sucking off Baker and OBJ. I think the real reason is the Rams aren't divas and the NFL Media LOOOOOOOOOVE divas. Good for the rams bad for it's fans when it comes to the media.

Al Michaels was saying that the Browns are threatening with a TD. Are they considering to go for two as though the Rams Defense was a non-factor. How much of a slight to the Rams Defense was that?

As it turned out, Baker Mayfield just love giving back to the Rams community with an interception.

Wow LOL..........quite a reaction to the shot by the cameraman.

They flash coaches on the TV all throughout the game.

Mahomes is already better than Tarkenton IMO.

That's a solid comparison I have to say.

I loved Collinsworth asking if they should go for 2 on the last drive. Talk about putting the cart before the horse, they have to score first lolol

I think that really ignores what Tarkenton was able to accomplish. He played at a time when QBs could be killed and WRs could be mugged.

His only flaw was being a Viking, but in many respects, he changed the game.

I find people grossly underestimate FT.

Is it just me or does SNF have twice as many commercials as other prime time games.

5 minutes of FB then 5 minutes of commercials.

Maybe people do underestimate FT. I dunno.

I do know that Mahomes is a special player at the QB position. He is going to be well decorated in his career.

truth.

Goff’s throws are so routinely placed perfectly that is gets taken for granted as if all other NFL QB’s throw like that. They don’t.

When Mahomes or Jackson escape pressure and throw a completion the announcers scream “Unbeleivable!!”

When Goff escapes pressure and throws a completion it’s like a golf game announcer. “Decent job of avoiding the rush and then a fine throw there”.

And Goff does this all game long. It’s Bizzare.

Then i hear “Something is off with Goff”.

Yea no shit Sherlock. He’s running for his life. That’s what happens when you stick 3 first year lineman in front of him and ask him to perform miracles while the running game don’t work and his supporting cast are dropping balls.
