Game Day Thread

The GDT is a live thread tradition here at ROD.

While we all get fired up watching the game, please remember our core principles; we always show respect for our team and each other.

Despite the emotional highs and lows watching a game, we will moderate this thread with that in mind, however please refrain from name calling. This applies to players, the Rams organization, and each other.

This is the core rule of the GDT. Moderators are tasked to issue thread bans, at a minimum, to maintain this standard.

This is our team. Win or lose. Good days and bad. We are here for FUN, not to be dragged down.

A more loosely moderated atmosphere can be found in the chat room.

Go Rams!

Faulk’s keys:

1. On offense: Run the ball, out of 13 personnel and get our linemen and TEs to block at the second level. Use play action to scheme our TE’s open to take advantage of Denver’s LB coverage.

2. On defense, rush and pressure Nix to keep him in the pocket. Young and Stewart need to focus on setting a strong edge.

3. On ST continue to work on kick coverage. Punts and free kicks need to be high and aimed outside the hashes to minimize return room and lanes.

It is going to be more important than ever for the Rams D to not allow 8 minute drives. They need to be aggressive and get off the field. The altitude makes a difference.
Right. They should aggressively attack Nix all night long. This is no game for soft bullshit. He will make mistakes.

Looks like Puka likely won't play. I'm guessing the Bronco defense will be putting extra focus on Adams. I'm also guessing we will see 13 personnel at least 50 percent of the time. Stafford's developed a good chemistry with Adams now. They'll still find a way to connect. I hope its improving with Ferguson. He's the one with the ability to make big plays.

Sounds like Myles may be out for 8 games. Brutal part of the schedule for him to miss.

I think this is a big Ferg and Corum game. Broncos worst position on D is LB (ironically ours too). They won't be able to keep up with Ferg or Corum.

And of course, Tutu legacy game loaded.

GO RAMS!

Here we go Rams Folks!!! Our Rams have their 3rd Nat'l TV appearance!!! All the buzz I'm hearing is about the Adams v Surtain matchup.

The Rams can beat this team in their house!!! As I see it...the key is "ball control offense" working short to medium pass routes using 13p a good bit and letting the TEs beat up the defense combined with KW &Corum running hard and catching out of the backfield. For some reason I'm feeling a big game for Fergie tonight, so we'll see.

The Ram defense needs to be stout with "sure tackling" tonight. We know the Broncos will be concerned with AD99 on the line. Ram LBs have to be sharp.

I stand on a post I did earlier in the week and say Rams like 26-17 Again I say "McVay...don't be greedy!!!".

GO RAMS...BE RAMBUNCTIOUS!!!
