I picked the Giants. Of course after last week's disastrous pickem, everyone would be wise to pick the opposite of me in every game.

Tom Coughlin says he’s avoiding all media while the Giants are losing

Giants coach Tom Coughlin doesn’t know anything about current events at the moment because he’s avoiding all media. His Giants are 0-2, and Coughlin doesn’t even want to know what’s being said about him and his team.
“I don’t read anything and I don’t like that,” Coughlin told Giants.com. “I don’t like being someone who really doesn’t know what’s happening in the world, but I’ve decided that I don’t want to be affected by what’s being said on the outside. So I really don’t care for that.”
Coughlin realizes, however, that his players aren’t shielded from negative comments about their 0-2 start.
“They’re young men, they’re bombarded. They’re out in the world a hell of a lot more than I am. They leave here, I don’t leave here, so I don’t have to listen to that stuff. I would like to shield them, but I can’t, it’s the world we live in,” Coughlin said.
For the Giants, the way to stop listening to that stuff is to win. They’ll have that opportunity tonight.

The official inactive lists have been turned in for Thursday night’s Giants-Redskins game, and the Giants will be without rookie starting left tackle Ereck Flowers.
Flowers was listed as doubtful by the team after aggravating his ankle injury last week. Justin Pugh slid out from guard to tackle last week when Flowers left the game and John Jerry replaced Pugh at guard.
The Giants have five listed starters on their inactive list. Also out are Victor Cruz, Robert Ayers, Markus Kuhn, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Jerome Cunningham and Owa Odighizuwa. Ayers had been questionable, but the team knew it would be without Cruz, Kuhn and Rodgers-Cromartie.
Robert Griffin III is again inactive for the Redskins. Their other inactives are DeSean Jackson, Perry Riley, Justin Rogers, Spencer Long, Arie Kouandjio and Frank Kearse.

Robert Griffin Jr., the father of Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III, has been sentenced to jail time for driving 115 miles an hour early one August morning on I-64 in Virginia, not far from where his son’s team was at training camp.
According to the Newport News Daily Press, Griffin Jr. was ticketed by a Hampton police officer at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, for driving nearly double the 60 mph speed limit.
This week, a judge found Griffin Jr. guilty of reckless driving and sentenced him to 60 days in jail, with 50 days suspended. He will have to serve the remaining 10 days over five consecutive weekends, starting the first weekend in October.
Griffin Jr. frequently attends his son’s training camp practices. The arrest took place during the first weekend of the team’s training camp this year.
