The Seattle Seahawks have gotten very bad news on wide receiver Sidney Rice.

NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Tuesday that Rice is done for the year after suffering a torn ACL duringMonday's win over the St. Louis Rams, according to a source apprised of the injury. ProFootballTalk had the first report.

Rice suffered injuries to both his knee and head before exiting midway through the second quarter.Seahawks coach Pete Carroll announced Tuesday that Rice was dealing with concussion-like symptoms.

Knee issues aren't new to Rice. He traveled to Switzerland in August to have a non-surgical procedure on his knee. Rice later revealed he underwent platelet-rich plasma treatment.

Losing Rice is a tough blow to a Seahawks offense that finished with 135 total yards in Monday night's win. It also makes the return of Percy Harvin even more important.

The Hawks offense is pedestrian, especially their WRs and TEs. If the Rams had any starting caliber QB they win that game going away.

They've got $21M sitting on IR right now.

Sucks for Rice, though he was a disappointment from a financial standpoint, still made some big plays from time to time. He won't be a Hawk next year.

Hate to see a guy get injured, even if its a Seahawk. But if any Carolina Pansies get hurt, I'm not going to shed a tear.
