I was reading this article on ESPN: (it's not a great article, so I don't advise wasting your time)
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9...stake-minnesota-vikings?ex_cid=espnapi_public
But it got me thinking; why didn't the Vikings trade him?
At 1-6...The Vikings season is over.
Peterson is 28 and will be 29 before next season.
For Peterson's sake; a chance to go to a winner.
For the Vikings; the chance to recoup some value as he approaches 30.
Peterson's best years are behind him. Sure, he's a legend and future HOF... but was it wise to hold onto him at the trade deadline?
