Depends on what's actually Wentz's problem. Is he untalented? I don't think so.
Has he progressively felt like he needs to prove he has talent and can get the job done? Perhaps. He was having what many called an MVP season in his 2nd year, only to be injured then watched his backup win it all.
The following season he missed the start (1-1), went 5-6 and was injured again, then watched his backup win out and go 1-1 in the postseason barely losing to the Saints. His last two years in Philly he went 9-7 and was injured after throwing 4 passes in his first postseason game, then was injured again and saw Hurts take over.
On to Indy where they were 1 win shy of the postseason but he imploded down the stretch. I think his number 1 problem isn't lack of talent but between the ears. He tries to win every play and would rather fail then give up the play, despite the latter being the wiser decision.
So who wants that guy trying to finish out a game for the starter or worse, having to start a game or two?
Hard pass for me but if McVay thinks he could clean his head, there could be worse backups.
