Also what kind of draft strategy is that to not overturn every stone on the QB they knew would go to the Jets. Just seems like the kind of thing the Rams would never do in that situation. And in fact the Rams being the team that sold out to get the one QB they knew was available who could help them reminds me greatly of the 9ers in the 80s. I have to think that if this type of situation played out back then it would have been SF that went and got Stafford and we would have been the shitty second place or worse team who didn't have everything in the front office in alignment to win at every level.

All that aside I do get him being upset that they couldn't upgrade to Rodgers as it left him needing to roll the dice on a rook. That would have sucked. And down the road we'll see the truth of things as always but at this moment in time I feel like the difference between the Rams and the Whiners are two things:

1. The Rams have a great owner who will pull the trigger on any required move to win.

2. McVay might not be as good as Shanahan at the X's and O's but he certainly has better leadership and people skills.

And that's why I think Kyle and Rodgers would have been a perfect couple.

Yes they are both that bad.
Maybe some on ROD wished we had gotten Kyle, but I was never one of them. Just because of the rumors
of friction with players at times. And that ego will be his felling.

I would prefer not to see Shanahan and Rodgers together. While I agree they will both blow up the team at some point they might also win some championships along the way. Fuck that, prefer Shanny has Garoppolo bending him over at random key moments in games.
